Field primitive grass tent campsite

Liked Private camping site.
Beautiful dogs who barked at us in the begging and after an hour they got use to us! They are gorgeous!!

Disliked Got lost finding this place, but owner had sent us a message explaining how to get there. We found the place only using 3 words.

We stayed through the bank holiday weekend for two nights. And it was quite busy. The toilet.. First day there was some toilet paper, in the evening it got finished and I was hoping that the owners will leave some extra paper for us. Wake up in the morning and there was no paper in the toilet. I didn't expect that, so first thing in the morning we had to drive to a shop for some toilet paper..
We found paper in the toilet only the last day 10min before check out. Would be lovely to at least know that you have to have your own toilet paper.

Also we have left the message on the booking for the owner asking about fire pit and some wood as we do that for all our camping sites. Of course we haven't received any info back. So good that we took our small fire pit, otherwise we won't be able to have some fire. More communication from owner would be much appreciated next time.

Orchard powered grass tent campsite

Liked Fantastic little campsite. Perfect for back to basics camping. On-site toilet kept clean and tidy. We had an electric pitch and had no issues with charging. Campfires allowed which is not offered everywhere. Great family atmosphere. Definitely recommend

Orchard powered grass tent campsite

Liked Peaceful, beautiful... camping in a walnut grove!

In the field, the long grass shields different pitches making it feel really private. Why isn't every campsite organized this way?

We liked it so much we booked added a night to our booking.

Even there was no shower, the toilet was clean and nicer than your typical "portacabin"

Disliked No shower. This is a basic site... and to be fair, that's exactly what they said it would be. For us, we love that..!

Dogs, while perfectly safely contained, are a little intimidating if you don't like dogs.

A little bit of road noise in the distance (esp when it was raining)

Field primitive grass tent campsite

Liked The orchard surrounding. A lovely spot. The friendly Anatolian sheepdog. Brilliant dogs.
Quiet.

Disliked Hard to find. Needs a new sign to help get in of the busy road. Maybe one further down the road to help you get ready for the turn.

Local attractions

Brought the kids with you on your country hol? Within a 15-minute drive of Home Farm are Baytree Owl and Wildlife Centre for meets and greets with nocturnal creatures, a crazy golf course for family tournaments and the Fun Farm indoor play centre for rainy days. If it’s grownup times you’re after, stately homes such as Ayscoughfee Hall Museum and Peckover House (along with their lush gardens…) are under 25 minutes away; alternatively, you could swing by North Ings Farm Museum to learn about the agricultural history of the area through its displays of tractors, machinery and commercial vehicles. For sandy sessions on the coast, the beaches around Hunstanton are less than an hour’s drive away – if you detect a hint of lavender in the area, that’s because around 100 acres of fields growing the stuff (plus a centre with an oil distillery, gift shops and a restaurant) are in this region too.
