What customers say

This top-rated, peaceful campground boasts super clean, modern facilities, even family bathrooms with tubs. Reviewers rave about spacious, level sites, the owners' helpfulness, and its quiet locale, often walkable to the beach. Food trucks and a fishing lake are big hits. Watch for occasional weeds on sites and a sometimes-messy Elsan point.

Liked The wide spread pitches, the quiet and closeness to the beach. Very clean and well maintained.

Disliked Facilities were spot on, we picked a beautiful pitch but was far away from elsen point. That said. Would pick the same pitch again as it was a little piece of heaven

Liked Hosts lovely, a very quiet campsite towards the end of August, the welfare block was very clean and modern, rules about quiet times so no disturbances from other guests at night. WiFi good and strong and reached our tent just fine. My son was sick in the last evening of our stay and it took us a long time to pack up the next morning as we kept having to tend to his frequent bouts of illness, and the hosts were really understanding and didn’t mind the late departure.

Liked The facilities were excellent, there was even a bath with a baby change, very spacious for a family. Plug sockets and hairdryers in the toilets too. Very well maintained and very clean, constantly cleaned throughout the day.

The pitch was great, plenty of room and not too cramped. Nice little field down the bottom where we kicked the ball about.

The owners were very helpful and lovely.

Close to Anderby Creek which has a beautiful beach, walking distance or there is parking but get there early as it gets busy.

Disliked Park could be better, but not a downfall as we just found something else for the kids to do instead.

Liked this was our first camping trip. when we arrived we received a warm welcome. we loved the space, modern shower/toilet blocks. loved the area and wish we would have stayed longer as didn’t get to see the donkey sanctuary and farm that made home made ice cream. we will definately be returning.

Local attractions

To start off, walk down to the beach (25 minutes) and then up the coast along the sand dunes to Moggs Eye, or drive a little further to the north for a round of golf at Sandilands Golf Course (five minutes' drive), a well-maintained links with stunning sea views. Also along the coast, you might like to visit the fascinating North Sea Observatory (five minutes' drive, or an hour on foot), a striking building with exhibits about the area's natural history. If animals are your thing, you'll find plenty to keep you busy in the surrounding area, from visiting the retired and rescued beasts of burden at Radcliffe Donkey Sanctuary (five minutes) to the family-friendly park at Hardy's Animal Farm (15 minutes) or The Seal Sanctuary Wildlife Centre (20 minutes). Head a little bit further afield to Donna Nook (40 minutes) and, at certain times of year, you're in with a good chance of seeing seals in the wild as well. For classic bucket and spade days, make sure to visit Skegness (20 minutes) – after a little time on the beach, you can take strolls along the pier, check out the town's historic clock tower, see what's swimming at the aquarium or head just to the north and to Ingoldmells (15 minutes from base) to explore the kid-pleasing attractions at Fantasy Island theme park.
