Hare cabin

Liked Amazing place! We absolutely loved our stay here, so peaceful and beautiful. We enjoyed using the fire pit, bbq, outdoor bath and the lovely bed with a gorgeous view out. The owners provided bonus items too including fresh tea leaves, coffee and marshmallows. If you need a relaxing getaway this is your place to visit! We also went down to the local river for a evening swim one day, which we definitely reccomend.

Disliked We weren’t overly keen on the composting toilet, as you can imagine it doesn’t smell great. However this is personal preference and understand that we were in the middle of a field so there wasn’t much choice! Maybe this could be in a separate shed?

Local attractions

There’s plenty to keep you occupied on site, but should you choose to explore further into Herefordshire, the lovely market towns of Ross-on-Wye (15 minutes’ drive) and Ledbury (20 minutes) both have a photogenic mix of half-timbered cottages and Georgian houses, plus lots of antique shops to nose around. If you fancy dipping into Wales, venture over the border to Monmouth (25 minutes) to visit its castle and museums. If you’d prefer to stick to pedal power, the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (20 minutes) has several way-marked routes for all abilities, with lots of far-reaching views. For more intense action, go rock climbing at the landmark Symonds Yat (20 minutes) or join a whitewater rafting expedition (15 minutes) along the river. A little tipple? Learn about regional cider production at Hereford Cider Museum Trust (half an hour), and tour Westons Cider Mill (10 minutes), where you can sample the finished product and take home liquid souvenirs of your Herefordshire stay.
