General

  • Spacious farm site in the grounds of an 18th-century mill house
  • Half an hour’s drive from Worcester and Hereford
  • Pizza oven, wet-weather barn and plenty of animals to meet

Peaceful days, nights spent unwinding and lots of time out on nature rambles… Does that tick your boxes? If yes, then trundle along to Linton Mill Camping, a family-friendly (and family-run) site 10 minutes’ drive from the Herefordshire village of Bromyard.

In the grounds of an 18th-century mill house, this site is a brill mix of secluded and well placed. It’s in a remote field reached via unpaved path, but there’s plenty within easy reach to keep guests feeling like part of the world, starting with Hop Pocket (less than 15 minutes away) for picking up local treats and souvenirs, and for breadmaking workshops with the Linton Mill owner Peter Cook.

Make sure to begin stays by sticking to explores on two legs though, as Peter and the rest of the site team will be more than happy to give advice and maps for circular walks in the area, and even help to arrange them.

When it’s time to rest up, the site’s well set up: a stream meanders through the site for you to dip your toes in, the shared pizza oven ups the camping cuisine game (and don’t forget to order a local food hamper before arrival for treats and eats), and uncooperative weather can be survived with the board games in the wet-weather barn.

Please note

Under 18s must be accompanied by their parents or legal guardians.

No bachelor/bachelorette parties permitted via Pitchup.com.

No cars/motorcycles at the site. All cars must be parked in the designated area.

Lovely site, nice and quiet. The owner (Mavis) was extremely helpful and friendly. The facilities were very good and the bread/croissants baked by her husband, Peter, were excellent. We stayed for 8 nights and really enjoyed ourselves. There are some excellent walks around the area and Mavis has printed up some routes. There are 4 local breweries in the area and we visited the Hop Shed for some excellent takeaway beer. My daughter had upgraded us to the Fox's Den for 1 night (we actually stayed 2) with hot almond croissants for breakfast as it was my partner's birthday. I would seriously recommend the Fox's Den and think it would be lovely for a stay in the Autumn.
All in all a very nice holiday and we would recommend it.

The only thing that some people may dislike is that there is no WiFi. But my phone worked okay. Anyway its nice to have a break from "social media" and scam phone calls.

Mave is an incredibly welcoming host and all the family get involved. The compost loos were great, such an environmentally friendly way of doing it, plus the shower was really hot! Fresh bread, pizza dough (for the on-site pizza oven), eggs, apple juice and more are available to buy on site. There's a fridge and freezer for guests to use. Really quiet site as well with only a few pitches available, set in beautiful rolling hills with an abundance of walks nearby.

Felt really welcome by Mavis who was always on hand to help with anything we needed and helped us to feel relaxed. Our girls are 8,6 and 2 and they had a great time making friends with the other kids. The site was nice and quiet. We loved the firepit and the beautiful scenery. And the weather was great!
Lots to do in surrounding area. We enjoyed visits to Queenswood, Hampton Court and Brockhampton Estate.

The owners were all super friendly. Check in was really easy and we were set up in no time. The shower is lovely and hot and the location is perfect. Especially if you're up for a 5mile+ walk to one of the four local brewery's! I'll be back again for sure.
