Liked: Lovely view of the lake as we woke up this morning, owners amazing answered and happily spoke to me on the phone last night when we arrived late and lost on our way in. Waking up this morning it’s obvious where we needed to go just couldn’t see in the dark but overall lovely site great value for money. Wish they had shower facilities simply because I would then stay a lot longer, I know the price would be affected if they got these facilities installed but would happily pay extra to be able to stay longer for people with showers it’s not an issue but for me I only have a toilet in my camper so I usually go sites with showers if for a long period of time.

Liked: Lovely couple run site in the middle of the Herefordshire countryside.
Quiet and peaceful with NO road noise as mentioned in another review.
Facilities are basic but owners do not shy away from advising of this. You get exactly as they describe.
Lake is day ticket and often busy but camping area at the top of the site with views down over it so no disturbance.
All in all if you want a bargain peaceful night, stay here, if you want the luxury shower blocks and saunas, go elsewhere.
Only had a coffee from the cafe so cannot advise on food.
Thank you Christine and Darren! 😀

Liked: We had a very peaceful three nights in our motorhome, the pitch area is at the top of a grassed field which is level and mowed. There are filling and emptying facilities nearby which are perfectly adequate. The location itself is very picturesque and the cafe served lovely ice cream and milk shakes amongst other delights. We will definitely return when we are in the area again, thank you.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to provide this review. I’m not sure if you read the site information when you booked or saw all the positive reviews and booked based on those, but we have ensured an accurate distribution of our facilities and made it very clear we are a basic site. That’s why we have very reasonable charges. What were you expecting for £12 a night, but I’m yet to meet anyone who doesn’t think that is value for money. I don’t know if you happened to stay with us on an exceptionally busy night, but that ‘busy’ road provides access to a handful of properties and as a public highway we have no control over who uses it, but no one has ever even commented on it, let alone complained!
A note for anyone reading this review the campsite is elevated from the road (from the campsite you would see over a cars roof) and has an established thick hedge on the boundary.
