What customers say
This well-kept, friendly site offers a peaceful riverside location with excellent amenities. Most pitches are spacious and private, many with river views. Individual shower rooms are praised for cleanliness and size. The adjacent pub is a big plus with good food and a welcoming vibe. Easy access to the M5 makes it ideal for stopovers, though some noted slight road noise. Manager replies confirm issues like water temp and pitch drainage have been handled.

Liked Fantastic site with excellent facilities and very close to a lovely pub. The walk to the canal is not too far and from there you can either head to Frampton or Slimbridge.
Disliked Nothing to note.

I would still go back but book a different pitch
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (no awning)
Liked Bathrooms were excellent, had shower, toilet and wash basin all in the same bathroom cubicle. The George Inn pub/restaurant was excellent, had a very warm and welcoming atmosphere and food was good.
Disliked Was not a dislike but pitch number 1 was right next to the play area (which was great for the kids) but somewhat noisy. Also to access the bathroom area you had to walk a short distance along the riverbank which I did not feel safe to do if I needed the toilet in the middle of the night.

From the manager: Thank you for your review,
Just want to clarify that there are 2 extra toilets in the middle of the site which are handy for the night time and the path to the shower block has many lights so it’s not pitch black.

Liked Site was decent enough, staff etc friendly. Nice dog walking route. Pub was lovely & food delicious. Ok as a stop off on route to somewhere further away from home.
Disliked Pitches on top of each other, site could do with a good tidy re weeding etc

Would stay as a stop off again
Powered grass campsite
Liked Easy to find straight off main road. Nice pitches. Bathrooms really big with loo shower and sink. Very quiet even though England were playing ! Good overnight stop
Disliked Going to pub to check in but think this may not have been the norm

Great stop off for our tour down to Cornwall, Staff were very helpful.
Powered cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite (no awning)
Liked The Pub was good and the staff were frendly. Food at the pub was also good.
Disliked Our pitch was small and compact. Not the easiest to turn and back into.
Fortunately the pitch at the approach wasn’t in use and spin it and backed up from there.

Good for lively groups and family
Powered grass campsite
Liked Large pitches
Next to a pub
Secure gate
Clean shower block
Disliked Large noisy groups until late with children running round ball hitting car and van. This is not the sites fault, families had come for a fun weekend away but weren’t considering others.
