  • Single luxury bell tent among four acres of private woodland
  • On the edge of the Peak District, 15 minutes' drive from Chatsworth
  • Hot tub, firepit, outdoor kitchen and woodburning stove provided
Talk about getting away from it all… Secret Wood Glamping really lives up to its name by having just the one bell tent tucked away in its own spacious clearing among four acres of private woodland. This Derbyshire glamping site is all set up to help you make the most of that fabulous secluded setting, whether you’re after a romantic couple’s escape, some quality family time or a catch-up with friends. The bell tent sleeps up to six (with a double bed, double sofa bed and two singles) and it’s got all bedding provided, plus a logburning stove to help keep everything cosy. All facilities provided here are for your private use – that includes the firepit, the barbecue and the outdoor covered kitchen (with gas stove, utensils and seating), plus the compost toilet and the hot outdoor shower (with eco-friendly toiletries). And of course the real highlight: the wood-fired hot tub, where you can bubble away to a soundtrack of birds chattering in the trees overhead. As tempting as it may be to sit and soak for your whole break, it’s worth making some time to get out and explore the local area. This location, a couple of miles from Holmesfield, is a splendid spot for all sorts of activities around the Peak District, whether you get your boots on for a long walk or take it a bit easier with an outing to Chatsworth and a pudding-eating mission in Bakewell.

Bell tent

Liked: Secret Wood Glamping was the perfect set up for a family escape, it had all the ingredients required to make it a magical stay! Charlotte was a super host, and the camp itself has all the kit you need (including a fridge!). We had fun cooking outdoors, exploring the wood, playing on the swing and listening to the owls at night. Thank you so much!
