Pinegroves Caravan Park is situated in approximately 23 acres of mature woodland with a wide variety of trees, rhododendrons and other shrubs in the beautiful county of Derbyshire. Our touring caravan pitches and holiday homes are situated in attractive clearings linked by roadways. Only a third of the Park is used for caravans, the remainder being available to stroll through on our woodland walk where you will encounter many squirrels, rabbits and a large number of woodland birds. Our aim is to provide a peaceful and tranquil retreat away from the everyday hustle and bustle of life. The Park accommodates 50 touring caravans (the bulk of which are on seasonal pitches) and 54 holiday homes. We are open from the beginning of April or Easter until the end of October annually.

Local attractions

Pinegroves is an ideal centre for exploring the beauty spots of the Peak District by car and is within easy reach of Matlock and Matlock Bath. The Matlocks are famous for their hydros, petrifying wells, also limestone caverns and the Alpine style cable car ride to the Heights of Abraham. At the Pavillion the Peak District mining museum has been established. Just through Matlock Bath, at Cromford, is the home of Sir Richard Arkwright's first cotton spinning mill, which was at the heart of the Industrial Revolution. Chatsworth and Haddon Hall are famous estates and these historic houses are open to the public. At Crich (approximately 3 miles away) is the National Tramway Museum, which is well worth visiting. This is only a very small selection of places of interest to be seen around Pinegroves and we are sure that everyone will find something of interest. Walkers too have an extensive selection of country walks in the area. For those who enjoy eating out there are many good pubs in the area serving reasonably prices food.
