If 'Wild Camping' is your thing, this is as close as it gets!
Primitive grass tent campsite (large, woodland)
Liked The peacefulness, so good for the soul!
First 'family' holiday, eldest 79, youngest 10, party of 8 and a dog. Never laughed as much in a long time!!
Steve is a fantastic host, nothing is too much trouble!
Not my first time here, but the extended family wanted to experience Oldham's Wood as I have been banging on about how great it was the first time.
Can't wait till my next visit!

Beautiful, almost wild camping (with plumbing)
Primitive grass tent campsite (large, woodland)
Liked Very tiny, quiet site. We stayed on one the woodland pitches, with beautiful views and no other pitches in sight. The site is very quiet & next to a historic stone circle site. The owner is very friendly and helpful. The site allows fires and supplies firewood, and we had fantastic campfires each evening. The facilities are very basic, but there is plenty of hot water
Disliked The torrential rain on our second night... not the fault of the site
