Great location, fantastic views, helpful owners, great facilities
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Fantastic sized pitches, was busy when I went but didnt feel like anyone was on top of each other. The facilities (toilets/showers) extremely clean and well looked after. Some of the best views for sun set and sun rise. Easy to get to and the owners were very helpful and lovely to chat to. Great location with direct access to lathkill Dale (not the easiest routes however) wouldn't recommend the route if you aren't 100%steady of your feet! But apart from that this site was fantastic and I cant wait to return!
Disliked Loved everything!

Fantastic site, would happily stay here again. Staff were brilliant.
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Loads of space to pitch up and relatively flat in places, considering its in a spectacular location in the peak district. Lovely owners/staff - couldnt do enough for us and opened the shop after hours when we had forgotten something critical. Location was genuinely wonderful. Toilets and showers were decent enough, though I imagine there isnt enough at peak times.
Disliked We were disappointed with the pizzas selling out so fast. We were warned about this upon arrival, which suggests it happens often. This just made us think why arent they anticipating it more. We went to order half way through the advertised service times and they had sold out, so it wasnt like we waited for ages.
At other sites we've been to, you were able to preorder for a rough timeslot, which meant supply and demand were understood.

Great find. Good size pitches and lovely clean facilities.
Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Stayed in a VW campervan on the non- electric hard standing for a long weekend.
Liked the large pitch size, super clean toilet and shower blocks. Shower temp and pressure was great.
Great location for Bakewell and surroundings. Already planning next visit.
Disliked Nothing. Enjoyed the stay.

A wonderful site and very relaxing.
Primitive gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked We had a good sized pitch with a lovely view. We were able to choose our own pitch on the non electric gravel area. The new toilet and shower blocks were really clean and had good powerful hot showers. The farmer was welcoming. We were able to bring 3 dogs and have a fire pit. wonderful walks near by which we really enjoyed. A 12.30 check out on the last day made a big difference to us so that was really appreciated.
Disliked A minor point was people were unsure on arrival where to pitch or where to get fire pits from so a few signs would be good. Also we couldn’t see the grey waste disposal point. we would thoroughly recommend this site however.

Powered gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Pitches were good size.plenty of fields around so good for hikers.there was a pizza man on site on the Saturday night which was nice but make sure you order early otherwise it's a long wait.
Disliked Showers could do with some heating inside as heaters were broken.a seat in the showers would be nice otherwise your standing in water trying to get dressed. The power kept tripping on the post outside so couldn't deal with the kettle and charging a phone at the same time. Could of done with some general waste bins nearer the pitches rather than down by the farm.

Lovely site on a working farm with beautiful views all around.
Powered gravel and cement/asphalt travel trailer campsite
Liked Lovely working farm and site, the farmer and his son were very friendly and helpful when asking about places to visit.
The direct access to Lathkill Dales was great, lovely walks and waterfalls.
The shower blocks and toilets were very clean.
The motorhome pitch area was quiet and clean with lovely views all around.
The pizza van was a nice touch for those who wanted to use it and they will soon be opening a bar.
Great location for walking, we walked to Magpie Mines, Bakewell and the Lathkill Hotel where we had drinks with spectacular views, they also serve lovely food.
Disliked There were no plugs sockets in the toilet/shower areas which would be helpful for drying hair. The farm shop needs work doing to it with very little items sold there and it needs a good clean.
Some of the electrical hook ups kept tripping, we had to swop to another hook up as it tripped around every 20 minutes.
Recycling needs improving, all of the bins were full so we had to put all our waste in the general waste skip.
All said, we would definitely return for another stay.
