This well-kept, friendly, quiet campsite boasts excellent amenities, including clean restrooms, a popular farm store, and a cafe with good food. Pricey and under-resourced.
Lawson's Lane primitive grass travel trailer campsite
Liked Cafe is excellent, but with restricted opening hours.
Quiet site, at least out of season.
Good location for walks.
Disliked It is more of a tent camping site than a motorhome site (7 pitches, only, for the latter, and no electricity) or a glamping site (a few pods and yurts, far from the communal facilities with no loo or heating or mains electricity). If you are a camper you may bring your own stove etc so you can make tea/coffee before the cafe opens at 9am, eg. A glamper paying premium prices may not expect to have to do that, and would be stuck. Motorhomers would expect electricity for the rate charged.

A good stay, but there is more to do on this relatively new site.
1 bedroom camping pod
Liked There is an excellent cafe and farm shop on site, with delicious food and excellent service, run by the ever-helpful James and Kerry, the site managers. As separate businesses, but also good to have on the site, are a sauna and cold baths (run by the wonderful two Louises) and a South African food shop (run by Clint) - with fabulous boerewors and other hard-to-get RSA foods. The pod has a firepit and bbq (or braai - we did the South African thing!). There are fabulous walks in the region. The Radhuni Lounge Indian restaurant in Princes Risborough is an absolute must, as is the wine bar. Both top notch.
Disliked For the price, out of season, the pod was pretty basic. No mains electricity - just solar-powered phone charger outputs. Some heating would be helpful as even the firepit is not good enough at the end of September and there is none in the pod. The pods have no loo, and the communal facilities are at the other end of the site, which isn't great. Not James and Kerry's fault, but I was amazed at the incredibly poor phone reception. It's the wealthy home counties, for goodness sake! On-site wifi is a must because of this. So, £250 for 3 nights seemed a bit much for such basic facilities.
