What customers say
This peaceful, back-to-basics eco-campsite offers friendly hosts & natural surroundings. Campfires are a plus, but the basic toilets have limited water. The entrance track can be tough, especially for larger vehicles. August 2026 feedback notes running water is now available on the field.

Nature’s Rest is a genuinely lovely…
Primitive grass RV or tent campsite
Liked Nature’s Rest is a genuinely lovely and friendly spot if you are looking for proper back-to-basics camping. The scenery is beauitful, and the whole site is quiet and peaceful. Even though we arrived early and Dean wasn't there, he was so helpful and quickly sent us the code so we could get access to the site. It hits that sweet spot of being simple and and providing handy comforts like eco-toilets and a clean shower. The evening spent sitting around the fire pit made the trip. It truly is everything it says on the tin. We had a brilliant time and would definitely stay again.

Quiet, flat pitch, but very basic amenities
Primitive grass RV or tent campsite
Liked The site was very quiet and peaceful, and we had a good night’s sleep.
The pitches were level, dry, and freshly mowed, which made setting up the tent straightforward.
The owner was friendly and polite on the phone, giving clear directions once I called.
Friendly pony in the adjoining field.
Good short-notice availability when other sites in the area were fully booked.
Disliked Arrival & Access: While the owner gave clear directions over the phone to guide me past the first gate, past the pony, and to the field, the arrival instructions were not in the booking email. The padlock code for the inner gate was omitted, so if I had not managed to get through on mobile, I would have been locked out. Additionally, despite Pitchup stating that "all guests spending the night at the park must present their ID at the reception desk and sign registration forms," there was no reception desk or staff on site.
Parking & Access Track: The track down to the field is rough and uneven; I had to drive very carefully to avoid scraping the underside of my car. It was fine in dry conditions, but in wet weather it would be treacherous and strictly 4x4 territory. There was also no signposted or designated parking area, nor were there wheelbarrows or carts provided to move gear, so I parked directly on the grass next to the pitch.
No Running Water: I am a regular wild camper and have stayed at numerous eco-campsites, so I am very used to off-grid, low-impact setups. However, this was very poorly managed. The listing prominently advertises showers, a campers' kitchen, and a washing-up area, so I completely missed the small "no running water" tag buried in the utilities list. There is no plumbed mains or gravity-fed water system whatsoever. We were left a single jerry can to share, which had to be tipped manually over a basin to wash hands or fill bottles. To make matters worse, the water had a plastic taste from the container. Had the lack of running water been clear upfront, I would not have booked.
Toilets & Washing Up: The toilet setup is exceptionally rudimentary rather than a proper eco-compost facility — a domestic toilet seat fixed onto an old armchair over a plastic storage tub lined with a refuse sack (sawdust and loo roll were provided). The cubicle is so cramped that you cannot close the door fully while sitting down. Washing-up water drains straight out of a pipe into an open bucket on the floor. I also saw no sign of the shower mentioned on Pitchup as nobody was on site to point out where amenities were located.
Site Cleanliness & Maintenance: The wheelie bins by the entrance were overflowing with black bags and infested with maggots. There was dog mess left across the field, and random piles of furniture and scrap building materials were left around the site.
It served its purpose for a single quiet night when everywhere else was booked, but the listing description suggests a far better-established and managed site than reality. Would not stay again.

Liked We had a lovely stay here. The host has a warm heart and gave us a very friendly and welcoming reception. It’s a truly beautiful and peaceful place to slow down and relax.

We had such an amazing stay…
Primitive grass RV or tent campsite
Liked We had such an amazing stay at Nature’s Rest and honestly couldn’t have asked for a better place for a family break.
From the moment we arrived, we felt so welcome. Nature’s Rest is such a beautiful, peaceful and unique place, and it gave us the chance to slow down, switch off from everyday life and properly reconnect with nature and each other. The kids absolutely loved being outdoors, exploring and just being free to enjoy themselves.
What really made our stay special was the atmosphere and the people behind the place. The host was genuinely lovely so friendly, down to earth and easy to talk to. You can really feel the passion they have for Nature’s Rest and for creating somewhere where people can escape the noise of everyday life and appreciate the simple things.
For us, it wasn’t just a camping trip. It was quality time together as a family, making memories, laughing, relaxing and enjoying being outdoors. We left feeling genuinely happy, refreshed and incredibly grateful that we found this little piece of nature.
A massive thank you to Nature’s Rest for making our stay so special. We’ll definitely be back, and we honestly can’t recommend it enough to anyone looking for somewhere peaceful, natural and family-friendly.

Absolutely great you can’t wish for more for basic camping and peace
Primitive grass RV or tent campsite
Liked 9.5/10 and that’s only due to no shower facilities.
The staff member who looked after us couldn’t have been more helpful. From the moment we arrived as we got a little lost he was there to help us. Throughout our stay, he went above and beyond, even offering us things we didn’t have and making sure we had everything we needed. His kindness and attentiveness really made a difference.
The location is beautiful, peaceful, and surrounded by nature. It was incredibly quiet, which made it the perfect place to relax and unwind. Everything else was spot on.
I would definitely stay here again Even contemplating my birthday there with friends and would highly recommend it to anyone. If you’re looking for a true back-to-nature camping experience and don’t mind the lack of shower facilities, then this place is easily 10/10.
Disliked No shower!
