What customers say
Tranquil, basic campsite in beautiful countryside, great for nature lovers. Owners are friendly, pitches spacious. Basic but clean toilets. Some noise from industry/airport; occasional access/signage issues. Overall, excellent value and highly recommended.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked We had a wonderfully warm and friendly welcome from the moment we arrived, which really set the tone for our stay.
One thing that genuinely stood out was how clean the toilets were — something you don’t always expect at a campsite, but it made a big difference and was very much appreciated.
The owner clearly takes a real interest in their guests and goes out of their way to make sure everyone has a great experience. That personal touch didn’t go unnoticed, and we truly did have a fantastic time.
We also loved the fact that cars aren’t allowed to drive onto the pitches. It made the site feel much more peaceful and safe. The addition of trolleys to help transport your equipment was a thoughtful and practical touch that worked really well.
Overall, a brilliant stay and somewhere we’d happily return to.

Primitive grass and earth travel trailer campsite
Liked Very peaceful, clean but basic facilities and lots of nature.
Close to a pub and it was easy to get an Uber into Reading....cost about £15 each way from The Bull Inn....didn't go in but looked like a lovely pub
Disliked You need to be very careful walking across the field....there are lots of dips/ small holes that are hidden by long grass.

Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Lovely big pitches in a beautiful setting. Owners were so kind and welcoming and the little cafe is awesome. We loved how relaxed and informal it was, it suited us down to the ground. No showers, but if we stayed again we'd just bring a solar shower.

Simple, No Frills basic campsite with adequate overnight facilities
Primitive grass tent or trailer tent campsite
Liked Simple, back to basics, no frills free range campsite where you are left alone to do your thing.
Disliked The track from the main road to the campsite is a little "Off Road" style and care should be taken in towing vehicles, low vehicles, family vehicles, and cars that you love and cherish to prevent damage when driving even slowly down the gravel lane.

Great place with relaxed atmosphere
Primitive grass and earth travel trailer campsite
Liked I absolutely loved the lay back feel to the place. The owners were fantastic and gave a warm welcome over the phone and the next morning. I had great conversations with the guy who owns the land.
Wonderful walks around the land and through the many forest paths with my little dog. It felt very safe there and really does have an indescribable vibe about the place.
I loved that it’s not far from London and I could drive in just over an hour and truly relax in this place after a busy work week.
Lovely cafe which also offers local meats. Loved the duck eggs I bought and cooked for breakfast on Saturday and Sunday morning. There is something about this little spot.
Disliked Nothing

From the manager: Thank you for taking the trouble to leave such a nice review.
It is indeed secluded, and therefore a bit hard to find!
It’s worth it though!
See you again soon.
