Unpowered grass and earth motorhome site
Liked Basic site run by very friendly people in a little oasis off the beaten track but not far from city & motorway links.
It’s a nice little field with stunning views.
I loved the farm produce for sale too.
I’ve seen reviews marking this site down for lack of facilities, but it’s in the site description that there are no toilets or showers. You need to be self-contained. There’s elsan waste disposal and a water tap, so not exactly wild camping!
Disliked 1 grumpy camper who told me I was listening to the news too loudly at 11am in the morning, but hopefully I’ll never see him again!

Power optional grass motorhome site
Liked The owner was one of England’s old eccentric gentlemen. Wonderfully interesting to talk to.
The site is basic and wild. Not to everyone’s taste, but just what we like.
Handy for ferry port.
Disliked Some of the other campers looked quite wild! But they didn’t bother us
This site isn’t walking distance to anywhere except one pub, but we didn’t need anything. We only stayed one night.
