Liked Very quiet location and ideal location for Chatsworth House

Disliked Although dogs are allowed, the cost of £5 per dog suggests they are not encouraged. This may be due to a dog walkers path crosses the site very close to one of the pitches. We paid £40 for a no facilities site

Liked Quiet, well maintained, toilets etc clean, owner very friendly and accommodating. Good dog walks and a pub!

From the manager: Thank you Jonothan for taking the time to leave a review. We are glad you loved the site and the surrounding places of interest to visit. All dogs on site are supposed to be on leads but are welcome to run free in the onsite 2 acres of woodland as requested in our welcome card so please always let me know if there is ever a wandering four legged friend on site and we politely ask the owner to pop them back on the lead. You would be amazed how many dogs are excellent escape artists when the owner is relaxing on holiday. Sometimes we find the odd one looking in our french doors up at the house in a bid for freedom!

Liked Ideal for us, couple with two dogs. Very clean, we don’t need toilet or shower so worked for us. Great being on a working farm and a beach literally across the road, who else can offer this

Disliked Nothing apart from WiFi had an issue which was waiting for an IT engineer to visit, so had been addressed. Good 5g so didn’t need it

Liked Location is good, site has two fishing lakes and toilets clean

Disliked A lovely location but our stay let down by a neighbour having five dogs that were loose on exercise; we had to clear our pitch of dog poo on arrival. We left after first night, it’s a shame as it’s a pleasant setting and wardens seemed helpful, albeit relaxed about dogs on leads. The wardens also had two big dogs, one of which can jump their fence, so advised not to take our dogs past their van, we therefore couldn’t go outside of the camp unless we walked all round the lake to the entrance

We ask all our guests with pets on arrival to please keep pets on leads on site as we’re adult only the majority are very respectful and considerate in doing so. We do our best to keep an eye on the site but sometimes we do miss things so we’re happy for guests to call or text any time if they have an issue on site which we will resolve swiftly and discreetly. We have one rescue dog who is dog mad so politely ask guests not to walk their dogs directly by our fence, you do not need to go all the way round the lake just very simply in front of the pitches rather than in front of our fence as the vast majority of our guests are happy to do and consider our dog as most of our guests come with dogs.🐕

Liked Location is brilliant, cycling, walking or simply relaxing. Weather wasn’t great for exploration but still had a good weekend Toilets etc all clean and a warm welcome
