The pitch is located across a small bridge beyond the main camping area, it can only be reached on foot.

Fishbone anchor pegs are required to pitch on the decked pitches. These can be borrowed from reception subject to a £10 returnable deposit.

Great campsite! Clean, modern facilities with spacious showers. Friendly staff, lovely views, peaceful vibe. Awesome for families with farm animals and play areas. Dog-friendly too. Minor road access/WiFi issues for some, but overall highly recommended.

Liked Everything as always. Pitches are a good size. Kids play area is handy. Hosts are always really helpful. Shower/toilets are the best we've ever had. We keep returning because the kids love the fact you can feed the animals in the morning - we feel we've bonded with the highland cow. She's lovely.

Disliked Not a dislike by any means. But if anything was ever changed it would be handy to have more in the play area for younger kids. Maybe a swing or a small slide.

Turn your boat to Cregennan lakes about 25 minutes from the site to cast a line – if nothing’s biting, there are scenic trails around the lake so it won’t be a wasted trip. Stay out in the open by joining the flock for a sheep trekking experience, also 25 minutes away, or dive below the earth’s surface and clamber into a boat at award-winning King Arthur’s Labyrinth. For something a little more high culture, the Machynlleth modern art museum is half an hour from Llwyn yr Helm and is well worth a poke around.
