What customers say
Friendly little spot with clean, basic facilities. Alpacas are a big hit with families! Handy for local sights. Some road noise and busy-period toilet issues were noted. Many find it peaceful and good value though.

Great value, lovely small, clean campsite
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Exactly what we wanted. We were a group of 27, mixture of children and adults aged between 1 and 50. Lovely small field, decent sized pitches, the kids could play on the field and we could see them at all times, felt very safe.
Showers and toilets were always kept clean and stocked with toilet roll, showers had hot water.
Owners were lovely and the kids loved the alpacas. Lovely quiet area, not much noise coming from the roads. A house a few minutes up the road sold fire wood.
15/20minutes from shops, beaches, Wookey hole, cheddar gorge.
Good communication from the owners before we arrived.
There’s no activities onsite, but we prefer campsites like that as we go off site during the day. But the children love making friends with other families staying and playing games/sports when we were onsite.
Definitely recommend.
Disliked There wasn’t anything we didn’t like at all

Cheap and cheerful, description was spot on. Will definitely rebook.
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked Cheap and cheerful site. My family loved it and will definitely visit again. The toilets were well maintained, pitch sizes were decent and the location is beautiful. The surprise of the field of Alpacas (or llamas?) Was lovely and the children loved saying hi to them.
Disliked The traffic noise was unexpectedly loud late at night and early hours of the morning, so if you are a light sleeper I'd recommend ear plugs, but it didn't disturb us much at all. With every site I've been to, You can either have easy access or complete quiet, so I don't feel it detracted from the overall experience.

Pleasant site dodgy turnoff
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked The simplicity of the site the showers and toilet were always clean. Of course the alpacas were the star of the show.
Disliked The turn off for entering and leaving the site is a bit dodgy especially leaving. The owners can't help this but people just hanging out around our tent despite there being plenty of room on the field. It was a bit creepy.

Liked Nice and small campsite. The facilities were kept nice and clean, very hot showers, lovely to wake up to the Alpacas and great central location to be able to go to Weston, Cheddar and Bristol.
Owners were quick to respond to any queries via text message.
Lovely clear skies, great for watching shooting stars.
Disliked The only thing we disliked were the noisy sheep next door, and not to mention the farmer rounding them up in the morning by banging on his pick up door.
You can also hear the motorway, but this is nothing the owners can change.

Liked Got alpaca in next field
Disliked In a field covered with sheep s***, showers are not fantastic, and I picked the site because it said it was 2mins walk from a Pub. Pub didn't open, ended up a 20min walk

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. We’re pleased you enjoyed seeing our alpacas.
We’re sorry to hear aspects of your stay didn’t meet your expectations. We would like to clarify a couple of points for future guests. The local pub is an independent business, so unfortunately we have no control over its opening hours. They can occasionally vary, and we’re always happy to advise guests if they contact us before arrival.
We’re also a little confused by the comment regarding sheep, as we have never kept sheep on our campsite or fields. We work hard to maintain the site and take pride in keeping it clean and welcoming for our guests.
We appreciate all feedback and are continually looking for ways to improve the experience we offer. Thank you again for staying with us, and we wish you all the best for your future camping adventures.
Good place if not fully booked
Unpowered grass tent site
Liked We had a good experience staying. However the campsite is pretty small, and if it happens to be fully booked, it would be very crowded. Alpacas are very cute and make a nice addition to the site.
Disliked Small pitches

Beautiful site. Highly recommended.

Liked Amazing campsite, lovely owners. We accidentally lost a Frisbee in with the Alpacas and the owners were very kind and retrieved it later on for us. We also decided to book an extra night and all we needed to do was give the owners a phone call amd they managed to get us on the same pitch. Definitely would recommend. Toilets were cleaned daily and everyone was very friendly.
Myself, my partner and my children will definitely recommend to others and would happily stay again.
