A aimé Very good facilities showers and toilets were always clean and the kids loved the alpacas and wanted to go to see them every morning very relaxed there everyone was plesent and pitch sizes were good and spaced out

A aimé Friendly, great value little campsite.

Check-in was straightforward, with instructions including pitch number texted the night before. You can drive up to your pitch to unload but not park next to it... the car park is directly next to the site though, you'll never be more than 2 mins walk from your pitch.

Facilities are "back to basics" in style, but the showers are hot & the toilets flush so this is by no means wild camping. They were also cleaned twice a day during our stay and well maintained. We never had to queue/wait to use the facilities so the number available was appropriate for the size of the site.

Perfect size campsite for kids, with plenty of space to play without straying too far out of sight. The alpacas in the field adjoining was a treat for kids and grownups alike!

The BP garage 5 mins walk away has a well stocked local shop for provisions + some basic camping supplies. The Lamb pub a few mins walk away also does proper pub grub at good prices (with huge portions!) if you want a night off cooking/washing up.

Site is well positioned for local attractions (we visited Avalon Marshes + RSPB reserve which was a 30 min drive away). There's also a public footpath through fields next to the campsite if you fancy getting out and about without driving anywhere.

A aimé The owners were really friendly and responsive, sorting any issues quickly, we loved watching the alpacas around the site, and it’s a great location if you want easy access into Cheddar.

N'a pas aimé We found the site quite busy with large groups, and there was music playing in the evenings which got fairly loud. With so many families around, there wasn’t much peace and quiet — sadly that just wasn’t right for us as a couple. The toilets were often in heavy use and did get quite dirty, though to be fair the owners were cleaning them regularly. We knew they’d be basic rural facilities, but there were quite a few cobwebs and spiders around — which we struggle with — so we decided not to use the showers. Also keep an eye out when arriving, as the entrance signs are easy to miss.

A aimé First time we came we loved it so we came again for longer it’s just so peaceful friendly kids loved the alpacas the toilets and showers clean owners constantly coming round checking them cleaning them we will definitely be back again soon

A aimé Travelled as a family of one adult and 2 children. We were happy with the site for our style of camping as we head out early and return late so primarily use it as a base to sleep/shower.

The location of the site among some of Somerset's best spots, plus a text the night before to advise of location and pitch number helped that self-serve approach.

Small site with around 15 pitches on a level field and shielded by hedges. Facilities include parking, bins and 3x toilet/showers which were clean as well as an outdoor sink/tap. Can walk into local village. Alpacas located in the adjoining field, which the kids loved, and a couple of picnic benches available for use.

We're sorry to hear that our facilities didn't quite meet your expectations. Peak View Gardens is a simple, back-to-basics campsite, and we aim to be as transparent as possible by including photos of our facilities and describing them clearly on our Pitchup listing before guests book.

Whilst our facilities are intentionally basic, we pride ourselves on keeping them clean, well maintained and exactly as advertised. We appreciate your feedback and hope you enjoyed your stay overall.

A aimé We had a wonderful stay! The campsite was clean, well-maintained, and set in beautiful surroundings. The facilities were spotless, and the staff were friendly and helpful. It was a peaceful, family-friendly place, and we really enjoyed our weekend. We would definitely love to come back and highly recommend it!
