Liked The simplicity of this site providing a very peaceful stay. The location to the wonderful pub just a short walk across the field. The use of a small private wood for walking dogs off lead and the hostess was just lovely, a very warm welcome.
Disliked Absolutely nothing!

Used to be a perfect site

Liked Stayed here a few times over the years, lovely location and lovely owners. Lovely woodland walk on a very small site. Pitches are of a good size, although not level.
Disliked Unfortunately this visit, we not only found lots of dogs faeces around our pitch, the chemical waste area also had human faeces on it. We felt the site has declined. Such a shame 😔 The bins were also so full up and there were flies everywhere, as no separate food waste or recycling areas.

From the manager: Thank you for taking the time to leave a review. Your night with us Rachel was the August bank holiday weekend checking out on the Sunday morning along with all of our other guests who had been with us for 7 to 10 days. We have 3 large dustbins which are checked daily but unless we check every hour on busy check out days sometimes when everyone leaves between ten and eleven we will get three times as much rubbish as usual which we clear between checkouts and check ins. It is an enclosed bin store area in August in exceptional temperatures so we expect flies.
As for dog's mess around the pitch, We have only once in ten years had a guest mention this as our guests are usually very particular about picking up their dog's waste! If someone let their dog wander on the lead and it did it's business and they failed to pick it up then I apologise on their behalf and would have of course cleared it for you had you mentioned it.
As for the chemical waste area, it is obviously the area where waste is poured so it may well be that someone's aim was a little off but once again no guest mentioned it on Sunday morning and I myself check it every day post checkouts so again I apologise if I missed it after you left.
We appreciate when guest let us know during their stay if something is bothering them so that we can rectify it immediately as these issues would most certainly bother me.
I hope we do see you again.
