Liked Quiet, friendly site, toilets and shower areas very clean.

Disliked Would have liked bar to be open till 9pm, and more food available, breakfast available every morning would have been great.

Not sure if you were aware that, when the breakfast van isn’t with us, we bake fresh pastries in the morning for our guests to enjoy.

Liked Woodland walks for the dogs, large woodland area for dog walking . Only 10 min drive from a national park. Staff very friendly. Toilet blocks kept very clean. Variety of food vans in the evening . Highly recommend Fish and Chips on Wednesday evenings. Enjoyed our stay, would stay again.

Disliked Having to park your caravan to the left on each pitch.Meaning cars are parked in front of your caravan not down the side. Making it a bit congested.

Regarding the pitching on the left, this is to comply with fire regulations and there is plenty of space next to your van to park your car on the grass, you do not have to park it across the front. Liked Gorgeous and extremely well run site. Super friendly staff. Spacious and well maintained bathrooms. Woodland walks on your doorstep. Monty's Bar open 4-8pm always has a lovely buzz. Different takeaway vans every night. Great mobile signal and wifi. 30 mins drive to loads of interesting places in the New Forest and Dorset. We also walked from the site up to Avon Heath County Park (took 45 mins) and Hurn Forest.

Liked Fantastic staff from start to finish, Lovely people and lots of dogs which our puppy spaniel loved. We loved the quite space on a beautiful pitch. we arrived and didn't leave until the last day. I could have stayed for longer. Great shop, Lovely coffee machine, great bar and lovely atmosphere for happy hour. Great idea with the food vans each evening which took the stress out of thinking about food. We loved our long dog walk in the woods every day. Just can not fault this campsite and can't wait to go back.

Liked Gorgeous clean and spacious site. Stayed for 5 nights.
Visited Monty’s bar every evening for a lovely relaxing evening. Live music on the Friday was a great start to a wonderful stay.
Fabulous food vans arrived each evening with a different option each time. Enjoyed the pitch and putt too.

Large spacious pitches, well kept, staff very friendly and accommodating. Great shop, bar, shower blocks, dog walk.. NO children allowed, so a great bonus, as you can completely relax.
100% we will re visit this site.

Liked Really great, clean shower and toilet facilities, decent washing up area, good free WiFi, friendly and helpful staff, well-stocked shop.

This campsite is perfect for people with caravans, motorhomes and dogs, who like to relax in the sun, have a drink at the on-site bar or jump in the car to visit nearby places like Bournemouth and Poole. However, if like us you prefer to pitch up and go for long walks in beautiful countryside straight from the site then this might not be the place for you (though there are short strolls on the site - around the small pretty lakes and a woodland area).

There are some very lovely pitches surrounded by trees and hedges but ours backed very closely to the pitches behind us without a hedge or fence to separate them and we felt like we didn’t have any privacy.

Generally we had a lovely stay at Back of Beyond but it’s not really for us.

Disliked Pitches too close together so no privacy.
Struggled to get tent pegs in - the astro turf was backed onto wooden board.
Not much to explore on foot straight from the site.
Too many dogs.
Very busy.

I am sorry we are not for you. The park is busy in August, as all parks should be, as it is the peak of the season. the park is quiet many other times of the year is Spring and Autumn so maybe that would have been a great time to visit us.
We do recommend on our pre arrival email to bring rock pegs for the pitches as the small wire tent pegs are not strong enough for the ground.
We are continuing to plant hedges on every pitch and all the astro pitches will have privacy this winter.
There are 4 large walking areas from our park and we also have free flyers in the reception. I am sorry if you missed out on these.
