Sunset from site
Early morning at brewery farm
Peaceful location.
Roomy hardstanding pitches

  • Quiet farm site surrounded by footpaths in the Dorset village of Ansty
  • Half an hour's drive from Weymouth, Poole and the Jurassic Coast
  • Farm shop on site; pub with food next door
They might not make beer at Brewery Farm, but this fab Dorset site serves up good times in grand surrounds, and there's a pub right next door for good measure… If you’re into history, there’s lots of it to be supped and savoured in the area; same goes for walks, beaches, boat rides… the whole lot of it easily accessible from a berth on this peaceful and friendly site. Facilities include a shop, selling the farm’s own produce; if you want to grill up an alfresco feast, go ahead – barbecues are permitted. The suitably ancient and rural inn over the road serves fresh locally sourced food as well, along with local ales to relax with at the end of a day of outings. Fancy exploring the area slowly? Ask the team to point you towards the network of country footpaths, through some of Dorset’s finest countryside.

What customers say

A well-loved, small, peaceful spot with lovely views. Great facilities, especially the clean, warm showers. Handy shop and pub nearby. Perfect for walks, with friendly staff. A few notes on pitch width and lanes are being looked at.

Powered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Easy set up on nice flat pitches- grass areas well maintained with just right level of natural and tidy style! Our third visit to Ansty - a special place - we love the walks direct from the site stunning at any time of year. The pub opposite and the lovely little shop makes it a great site.

Disliked Showers were not as clean or well maintained as in previous visits. Shower heads need replacing - scaled up - and loo brushes!! One shower not draining away properly. Benches need cleaning properly into corners and underneath. Good supply of t rolls and nice warm radiators are good. Sinks were cleaned well. Just needs a bit more of a thorough clean and a bit of maintenance.

Powered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Pitches are large and level with plenty of space. Toilets/showers are clean and warm and a good size. All pitches offer a great view of the Dorsey countryside. There is a well stocked farm shop close by and a pub that serves great food opposite.

Powered concrete and grass caravan site

Liked Washroom facilities, close proximity to The Fox Inn (delicious food), local shop on site, free use of Firepit and reasonably priced logs.

Disliked Was our favourite site stayed at this year but since visiting 8 months ago, all the best MH pitches are no longer available and now have unoccupied, shabby and industrial looking small mobile homes on them. Remaining MH pitches don't have the same spectacular view and so small and close together that peace and quiet is non existant.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: I am very sorry to hear your feedback from your stay us and I am sorry that you were unable to have the pitches that you desired. The 'shabby' mobile homes that you are referring to are occupied and have been with us for a month for local workers. They may not be pleasant to the eye but the people staying are lovely and wouldn't have caused any noise or disruption during your stay, as they aren't usually here at weekends. They are not permanently here and will be gone this month.
If you were to visit again the pitches at the top of the site should be available.
Regarding the noise, I can only imagine that this came from other visiting campers, which is unfortunately out of our control, but I apologise on their behalf.

Local attractions

If beaches are your bag, you’ve hit the big time here as the Jurassic Coast is studded not just with fossils but also sandy coves and rocky inlets: Lulworth Cove is a 40-minute drive away, and if you fancy something wilder, Winspit beach is accessible only by a footpath from Worth Matravers (45 minutes). Another fine way to explore the coast is to make for Weymouth or Poole, both half an hour away, for a boat cruise. Both towns are crammed with further family-friendly attractions including funfairs and an aquarium in Weymouth, and slides and chutes and waterfalls at Poole’s Splashdown waterpark. Monkey World and the Tank Museum are also around half an hour away. For an easy way to see the chalk hills and valleys of inland Dorset, take a seat on the Swanage Railway (50 minutes) for steam rides between the coast and Corfe Castle (40 minutes by car). The castle is well worth clambering over; if anyone’s missing the water, make for the nearby Dorset Waterpark for floating inflatable obstacle courses in a wooded lakeland setting. For another day out with a difference, the graceful residents of Abbotsbury Swannery (45 minutes) were once kept by local monks for the purposes of scoffing at banquets. You can now visit the country's only nesting colony of mute swans and feed them, as well as get lost in the maze, hurtle about the adventure playground and roam the nearby subtropical gardens.
