  • Cornwall holiday park with beach access five minutes’ drive from Hayle
  • A 20-minute drive from Tate St Ives
  • Bar, bistro and shop on site, plus a play park and heated indoor pool
Private access to a three-mile sandy beach sound tempting? That's the fabulous feature you’ll get at St Ives Bay Holiday Park, set on sand dunes five minutes’ drive from Hayle in Cornwall. If you’re all piling in for a family holiday, you can spend days building sandcastles, running around on the beach with the kids and cooling off in the sea. Travelling as a couple? You’ll have spectacular sea views across St Ives Bay and you’re almost guaranteed colourful sunsets as a backdrop for romantic twilight strolls on the sand. And when kicking back and enjoying the views is not quite enough for you (and, let’s face it, the kids will want more), how about crazy golf, tennis or the amusement arcades? You can burn off more energy at the surf school or in the heated indoor swimming pool, and there are play areas scattered around the park to wear the kids out properly. With all this going on, make sure you leave time to unwind for a drink at the terrace bar with superb views over the bay and a menu of small, tapas-style snacks – there’s entertainment in the evenings too. Or you may like to make a night of it with the family over a freshly prepared meal at Sands Bistro? Forgotten an important ingredient or need milk for your morning cuppa? There’s a well-stocked independent shop on site that stocks all the essentials, including your daily newspaper.

What customers say

Great spot, right on a huge sandy beach. Spacious, well-kept sites, many with sea views. Clean loos and showers, though a bit basic. Good facilities, fun for families. Can get busy and noisy sometimes, and the steep dunes to the beach are a bit of a climb for some.

Liked I liked the pitch and how close the shower blocks ,toilets and washing up area was to us which was very clean and tidy . I liked the variety of things available in the shop and the laundry system and the amount of washing available.

Disliked The restaurant was such a massive let down . The service was shocking as the lack of knowledge and understanding of customer service was terrible but the worst part was the food dry , bland and over priced for what was vile that bad I got a refund and wasn’t even questioned to why I wanted my money back either not interested or know how bad the food is x
I was talking to a life guard that actually worked there he said he agreed with me which was wow . Absolutely stunning place but come on the food is horrendous sort it out such a shame 😳

Liked Access to beach and bar great. Food and beer prices good. Views amazing.

Disliked Not many water fill points and not easily found on maps. Very busy pitches at the beach side. Queue for male showers common. Shower in motorhomes recommended. Other than that, lovely place.

Liked Good facilities, entertainment and food onsite. For camping it's expensive!

Disliked The access to the beach is difficult, if you have younger children or mobility issues it's inaccessible. The sand dunes are huge and soft sand is really thick, not suitable for beach trolleys or buggies

Liked This is the second time of staying. The park is clean, situated in lovely part of Cornwall. A short walk from the beach with lots of dunes to walk the dogs. The park contains a pool, arcades for the grown up kids, two bars and an outdoor cinema/disco.

Disliked The ABBA night at the Dynamite bar was brilliant, and the disco afterwards was just starting to take off, until the “Silent Disco” kicked in. The moment the headphones came out, the atmosphere died unless you were actually wearing a pair.

Being on holiday is about being social, having a drink, partying, dancing. Sticking headphones on and everyone listening to an option of songs on two channels in silence is a dull concept. It’s anti‑social and it completely flattened the evening. Even our 18‑year‑olds bailed and headed to the Sands bar, they said the whole idea was boring. This may seem a fun idea and might work at a kids party but in reality it doesn’t work when you want a drink, socialise and listen to music together.

Liked The kids entertainment, swimming pool and evening shows. Childrens entertainers are great. Showers are clean and warm.
The surf school is very good for any beginners, my grandson mastered the waves by the end of the 2nd session.

Disliked The very steep access to the beach, one of bar staff at the sands bistro was rude, Check your bill for food, they have meal deals, if you ask for one but you order 1 thing that’s not on the list you end up paying an extra £7, staff show no interest in letting you know it’s not included and once u pay they will not change it even if it’s within less than a minute of making the order. The young serving staff are very nice and don’t mind you asking them for anything.

Liked Clean, affordable/quality food served at local restaurant, events happening at local pub, kids play area, local toilet/shower with hot water that is regularly cleaned. Staff is well informed. Loads of schemes available if you want a holiday caravan which pays for your location fees. Dogs friendly. Even got offered an eletricity extension cable.Definitely will go again.

Disliked Can get expensive in summer period.
