  • Superbly located Surrey campsite with easy motorway access
  • Thorpe Park, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor within 30 mins' drive
  • On the banks of the River Thames, with Thames Path access
What a handy camping spot this is… Laleham Camping Club has easy access to the M3 and M25 motorways, it’s close to Heathrow airport and Staines railway station is only about 10 minutes’ drive away for easy jaunts to the capital. On top of all that, there are all sorts of attractions within easy reach, including Thorpe Park, Chessington World of Adventures, Windsor Castle and Legoland Windsor. And if that all sounds a bit exhausting, it’s good to know that the location within London’s protected Green Belt means you’ll have peaceful surroundings for relaxing on site. The River Thames runs alongside, giving you access to the Thames Path for walks and bike rides, or to the water for kayaking, paddleboarding and swims. The nearest major urban centre is Staines, accessible by car, bus or a walk along the riverbank and with a good collection of shops and restaurants, plus a cinema. Closer to home, Laleham village is 10 minutes’ stroll away, and has a convenience store and a choice of three pubs. The folk that run this Surrey site haven’t just relied on their location, though – they’ve made sure the place is a comfortable place to stay, with a good number of facilities including a launderette, free hot showers and handy extras including hairdryers and shaver points. Chillout time is well spent here too – there’s a small play park with sandpit in the centre of the site, and a wet-weather room with Sky TV, a pool table, table tennis and a dartboard. Next door in Laleham Park there’s an outdoor gym, a bigger play park and plenty of space to play games or walk dogs.

What customers say

Lovely riverside spot perfect for families. Staff are ace, facilities clean, pitches roomy. Handy for theme parks & London. A bit of plane noise & showers could be modernised, but it’s all good value and friendly.

Liked Just arrived home from a 2nights stay, I
Must admit on arrival I was not feeling the place, but soon realised this is pretty cool, the staff where great and very helpful and the site has everything needed for an enjoyable stay, the facilities very good shower where hot every time I went for a shower and clean overall really enjoyed my stay thank you

Disliked My only gripe without being petty was the car park would have liked to see some cctv just for pice of mind, maybe a coded gate or something, also the pitches I felt where a little cramped

Liked This campsite is a bit of a hidden gem so to speak. Great location next to the river. Friendly, helpful team running it. Been running for many years [decades] and has some interesting history to the site. Park and open space nearby. Well laid out in terms of safe playing for the children and facilities such as the games room.

Disliked Nothing to really dislike. If you want a well run, safe, campsite for the family, offering easy acccess to the river for activities such as swimming, canoeing, fishing etc this does what it says on the tin.

Unpowered grass site

Liked Met by staff on arrival, really helpful and showed us to our plot.
Great field in the centre of the camp for kids to play; little play area, sand pit and small goals. Club house with pool table/darts and hang out space for the kids - was all closed up at a reasonable hour at night. We were pitched right next to the utilities block/club room and kids went to sleep with no issues/not noisy.

Large Toilet block not luxurious, but more than adequate and cleaned well daily.

Opposite the site is access to a great little stretch of river for swimming/paddle boarding. Locks to visit either side if you’re paddle boarding /kayaking. Locals loved it too, the Thurs night was busy with groups that disappeared after the sun went down. Really chilled during the day.

Amazing location for day trips to Thorpe park and Legoland.

Disliked Nothing - great stay.
