What customers say
Lovely spot by the Thames, great for walks & water fun. Friendly staff, well-kept facilities (though some showers a bit dated/low pressure). Good for families, handy for sights. Expect some plane noise from Heathrow.

I would return for a stop over again.

Liked Location was great. Felt very close to nature. Showers were spacious and good hot water flow although there was a definite smell of damp.
Disliked Slightly overpowering employee telling us where to locate within our space. Sure we can make that decision for ourselves. Reception guy was great.

Good site
Unpowered grass site
Liked The location was great. Stayed overnight before the rugby league challenge cup final at Wembley. The site is about an hour drive away in a really nice setting. Spotlessly clean and good facilities. Next to the river Thames if paddle boarding is your thing. Small games room and volley ball / footy pitch on site with a decent public play area just outside the main gate. Would stay again.
Disliked The showers in both the men's and women's toilets were little more than a dribble.

Power optional grass site
Liked The site was in a great location and with easy access to the Thames for paddle boarding. The gentleman who checked us in was great, very helpful and friendly. The site didn't feel over crowded and whilst initially it felt strange parking our cars in a separate area, it actually was quite nice.
Disliked The toilet/shower block was of a decent size for the campsite however the shower facilities were a little poor. The shower heads were deluge heads but the water trickled out, so being a person with long hair it took for ever to rinse the shampoo and conditioner out.

Liked The site and the facilities were spotless, friendly staff and a gorgeous location near the River. There was a pool table and a table tennis table which both the kids loved.

We had a great little holiday. Ideal site, great area.

Liked I camped here for 4 nights with my girls. The staff were very friendly and helpful. We loved the location as we used it as our base for days out. I was able to do Chessington world of adventures, Legoland Windsor within a 30 minute drive and Thorpe park within 10 minute drive. It's just over the road from the river thames, we had a lovely walk along on our last morning once we had packed up. The car park for the site is just next door with a gate so your good to come and go as you please. It had three showers in the ladies and numerous toilets (most times they always had toilet roll in them) we sometimes had to queue for a shower but it wasn't a problem, there are quieter times to have them. There were squeegees to clean the shower before/after use and mats to use to step out of the showers. The washing up area had about 4 sinks I think. A few water taps dotted around site. The play park, football and volley ball nets and indoor games room were great, kept the kids busy making new friends while I was cooking. Some days there was music playing from the games room area which was nice. The staff usually had it shut up for 10/10.30pm. I would definitely return if I was in the area again we had a great time. The kids also loved the outdoor shower as it was so warm they used it to cool off under and have fun. A few reviews I read mentioned the noise from the planes, yes it's near the airport, yes they come over pretty low and noisy but that didn't bother us at all, we enjoyed tracking the planes to see where they were going an added bonus making out which airline it was.
Thank you
Disliked My little one wasn't tall enough to reach the shower so I had to shower with her at the same time as I didn't want to risk getting wet through. The shower head was fitted to the ceiling so couldn't be moved or angle changed. Not a criticism at all as they were decent showers nice and warm but just be aware if you have little ones it might be easier to shower at the same time. The toilets themselves we're sometimes a mess to walk into. Many left not flushed. Again this isn't the sites fault at all because on the whole the sides were clean and toilet rolls stocked so they must have done checks throughout the day. I guessed a lot of children were going to there own. (Something that happens at all camp sites).

Exhausting
Unpowered grass site
Liked Location by the Thames, friendly staff.
Disliked Facilities are small and a bit old. They pitched us under a street lamp in the site thus we had fully lit tent all night. Being unable to bring cars onto the site is a major pain.
