Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Loved the space
And the freedom to pitch up where we liked
And fire pits where a nice touch
Disliked The toilets ran out of toliet roll
And no one replaced them
Toilets where very dirty and the doors didn’t fit which ment very little privacy
And there was a tiny sink to wash your hands again no soap to ensure hygiene
While this is advertised as a basic campsite it was very dirty

Liked Nice pitch and great views. Fire pit is definitely a must and you get more than enough logs to last you two nights. Close to pooley bridge and right next to all the hills for a good walk. There is also a little village on the way into the campsite which has a nice pub.
Disliked Only one shower so went it was busy it was a bit of waiting around but is expected. When on the Saturday night when it was much busier toilet ran out of roll so I suggest bringing your own incase they run out.

Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Easy to find and access wasn't too bad even on a motorbike. It's very secluded but still within walking distance of a pub with hot food and good drinks in the evening. There are enough clean facilities on site but not so much that it's overrun with the more touristy types.
Disliked As was mentioned in another review some are perhaps not as considerate with their noise levels as you might expect... one group rocked up at midnight and spent 2 hours laughing and joking loudly and then sat chatting until 6am. Not the owners fault but something in the booking policy would make me more likely to return at a later date.

Liked Owner of the campsite was lovely and pleasant, even gave us some free fire lighter as we forgot our own. Toilets were clean and always stocked with loo roll. The views from the campsite are beautiful and watching the stars on an evening was truly my favour part of our visit. This is an amazing campsite to visit for a short break away with your partner, family or friends. Great location, as you are not miles away from shops etc. There is also a lovely little country pub within walking distance. Will definitely be visiting this site again!

Great location, lovely views!
Unpowered grass tent or trailer tent site
Liked Great location, easy to find. Brilliant communication from owners before and during visit, they brought us a fire pit and logs no problem!
Clean toilets and water available.
Lovely views and nice to be able to pick your own pitch.
There is also phone signal which is a bonus.
Would definitely recommend and return.
Disliked Other people who just don’t know how to behave and be respectful. Up drinking and shouting till the early hours of the morning. However this is no fault of the owners at all.

Liked Awesome, zero hassle, rocked in around 10pm and just pitched up with roof tent - setup within minutes and looking over the sheep and lambs in the adjacent field - bliss. Woke at 6am, back to sleep for four hours to wake to a new day. WCs super, uber excellent - only issue was... oh no wait, no problems at all, it is awesome, camping like it should be with the benefit of a lovely loo!
Disliked Nothing - thanks.
