Unpowered concrete and grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Ten minute walk to the Cinder track, thirty minute walk to the coast path.
Large showers and hot water.
Clean facilities.
Disliked Bins and recycling overflowing.
Hands off approach from owners resulting in anti social groups of young adults, loud music and shouting till late in the night from the onsite holiday cottages.
Site looking tired.
Limited valley views.

From the manager: Hi Mike.
Thanks for your review.
Unfortunately we can’t make the bin men come any faster for the recycling - it’s on a 2 week cycle. We do provide an extra big bin on top of this which can also take recycling which is emptied weekly - You are quite welcome to take your rubbish home……..
The cottage you are referring to isn’t on our property and is nothing to do with us. Unfortunately we can’t control who stays in this. There was also space on our other site so you could have moved if it was causing that much of an issue. We do monitor our own cottages and have a well respected period of quiet on our property from 11pm to 7am. We also walk around the site every night at 10pm to check this, no sound at all.
We do live onsite and are contactable always so if anything was brought to our attention during your stay we could have helped resolve this given a chance.
Wouldn’t say the site looks tired, I would say we are in the middle of a summer drought - but obviously you are entitled to your opinion.
Most people find our site peaceful & relaxing, we are sorry you feel our site wasn’t for you.

Lots of things to do and clean site.
Unpowered concrete and grass tent or motorhome site
Liked Lovely location, very peaceful, clean and tidy. Very close drive to Whitby or Scarborough. Only talked to the owner once, he was very kind and friendly, despite the fact we’d pitched up in the wrong place. We didn’t visit the shop on site but saw it as we drove past, seemed very well stocked and we liked that you could hire a BBQ. And I very much loved watching the three beautiful horses everyday that have thier field wrapping around the campsite.
Disliked Having only 3 toilets and 2 showers with a full campsite is rather difficult and could get very busy. Not really anyone’s fault we just noticed it’s better to shower at right or really early. That being said they are some of the best showers and toilets I’ve seen on a campsite.
