Valley View Camping

A aimé Loved this peaceful site, showers and toilets nice and clean and the kitchen area was great too.There is also a little honesty shop on site too which was great. I like the fact that there were cleaning items too as someone had left the toilet in an absolute disgrace thank you for leaving things accessible to be able to clean before use, not that other people should have to do this because of disrespectful behaviour especially coming from adults. I dread to think what some vans/homes are left like! 🙄

N'a pas aimé I would give this site 10/10 if it had EHU but that's the only dislike if you can call it that.

A aimé Great location, stunning views across the countryside and out to sea. Surrounded by farmland and a couple of horses. Lovely secluded spot, nice and quiet with a well stocked shop with honesty box and good toilet/shower facilities. Stayed one night mid September.

A aimé Countryside, peace and quiet, enough facilities for a couple of nights camping, location.

N'a pas aimé This is not the owner but there were only a few other people camping and there was no need for them to leave the toilets they way they did. They should be ashamed of themselves when other people have to use them - I am sure they are not like it at home.

A aimé Clean facilities, quiet, peaceful location. Lovely touch with the honesty shed. Nice to have a boiler for hot water as well as a fridge, freezer and microwave. Great view from the picnic table. Great walks to Ravenscar and Hayburn Wyke down the tracks. Felt secure with the security cameras in place.

A aimé Great facilities and all very clean.
The views were fantastic and the owners very friendly. Lovely and quiet at night.

N'a pas aimé Signage from the road could be clearer as the postcode is not quite on the dot.
Personal preference but we
Like a bit more space between pitches, there was enough for most I guess it’s just we like to be alone ish.

A aimé Quiet, clean well maintained site.
Good shower and toilets.
Helpful to have microwave and hot water for drinks in the kitchen area.

A aimé - Clean facilities (and one which aren't seen at every campsite like free hot water and an ice pack freezer).
- Decent view from the campsite
- Feels somewhat private. I like not having to check in as I'm very antisocial haha
- Showers are free
- Honesty shop is a massive plus and I wish every campsite had one
- Great location between Whitby and Scarborough
- The horses are cute

N'a pas aimé - The showers were warm and free, but only stay on for about 15 second when you press the button (they're swimming pool / gym style showers)
- The ground has been incredibly stoney and hard to put tent pegs into without bending them. Obviously nothing the owners can do so this place still gets ten stars, just maybe make sure to bring a few extra pegs.
