What customers say
Great welcome from owner Jayne at this quiet, small site. Enjoy complimentary fire pits and local walk info. Near North York Moors but expect some farm/road noise. Basic but clean facilities suit self-contained units. Many keen to return.

Liked I have stayed before & always found Jayne welcoming. Being on my own this time it was useful to know all the walks around the area. Jayne left a list of them on every pitch next to the electric meter. Loved getting up in the morning seeing the sheep in the field. I found it useful to catch the buses into Pickering, Scarborough & Helmsley; worth a visit. Will definitely come again when visiting the area.

Good campsite

Liked Level clean pitches, two water taps (one at either end of site), quirky elsan point. Good recycling area. Small area for a dog walk, but through the gate a good circle walk (albeit overgrown in places). Jayne popped around to make herself known and was very accommodating. A plastic folder left on each pitch to explain everything ie shops, walks, vets, restaurants etc., in a tray. Good view of the field with rams.
Disliked Albeit a short stay we found the squealing of pigs opposite day and night a bit off putting. But this may only be seasonal. Everything else was good

Liked Lovely clean site, pitches with a nice view and very spacious. Jayne was very friendly and helpful. Also there were some details on the walks from the site itself which was great to have. Hutton le Hole only 2 miles away a lovely place to visit as is Farndale - such beautiful walks here too. All in all a fabulous stay!

Peaceful, friendly and plenty of good walks

Liked A great site, very peaceful. Jane was lovely and came to meet us to make sure we were ok. There’s a lovely walk (about 15 mins) to kirbymoorside through some fields and a river to paddle your feet in. Pitches are well spaced and level. Plenty of recycling bins. Will definitely stay again.

Excellent clean, basic site

Liked It was a lovely small with only 6 pitches. It was a very peaceful site, pitches were a good size and each pit had a complimentary pit for you to use. Logs were available to buy. The owner was lovely and friendly, she made sure you was welcomed and available if you needed anything. Nice walks around, and in walking distance to the village. A was a very basic site but it was nice to get away and chill.
Disliked Would have been nice to have a shower block but as we was in a motorhome this didn’t bother us as we had our own bathroom. As it was a small site it felt that we had more conversations with the other campers.
