What customers say
Great campsite, loved the spacious pitches & clean facilities. Friendly owners and resident alpacas are a highlight. Peaceful woodland setting, a relaxing "back to basics" vibe with nice touches. Only minor issues were full recycling bins and no paper towels.

Wonderful site, I would highly recommend.
Unpowered grass tent site (wild)
Liked Beautiful site. The alpacas were fantastic and the woodland walk with Harry Potter wicker statues and a secret lending library was a wonderful surprise. The site itself was spacious and each plot was private. Sophie was a lovely host, too - so friendly.
Disliked Absolutely nothing.

Would recommend and return.
Unpowered grass tent site (wild)
Liked Secluded, felt exclusive, well-spaced-out pitches, funny welcome letter, accessible alpacas, little features everywhere to make the space special, quiet, friendly, clean facilities.
Disliked Fire pit hire and wood charge doubled the price of the pitch. Noisy tractors at night but it was harvest time.

From the manager: Hi Tom, thanks for staying - really pleased you enjoyed your stay. We really liked the picture your son drew for us and the lovely note you left us too! Unlike most campsites - we have no rule about bringing your own fire pit or logs which is explained clearly at the booking stage. All the best, Sophie and Simon

Unpowered grass tent site (wild)
Liked Oh my gosh, what a magical place. So peaceful and with lovely big pitches. Each pitch has a picnic bench and large parasol which was ideal for the June heatwave we had!
The toilets were very clean, I didn't use the shower but it looked very nice and someone we spoke to said it was good and hot.
Alpaca meet and greet was a real treat, they're so lovely!
Disliked No hot water at the washing up point or in the toilets

Much loved site, nice touches throughout and friendly staff.
Unpowered grass tent site (wild)
Liked Clear communications, Easy check in, spacious car park& pitch sites.
Facilities just perfect and fit for purpose from the trolleys to take your belongings to your pitch to the toilet & shower unit.
Site & pitches well kept with your own bit of meadow land providing privacy between pitches - nice touch and of course the resident alpacas which are great to watch.

Unpowered grass tent site (wild)
Liked The owners, Sophie and her husband, were ever so welcoming. The plots are huge and far apart. It's a small campsite with only 6 plots for tents so that makes it more special and relaxing. We even booked a walk with their alpacas, that you can watch all day, and we learnt so much about them.

Beautiful site, excellent location for exploring.
Unpowered grass tent site (wild)
Liked Just the most beautiful stay. Great to have the picnic tables next to the pitches.
Beautiful site that is well kept but also wild enough for you to feel as close to nature as possible with plumbing!
The Alpacas are obviously stars of the show but Sophie and Simon were also very lovely!
