For those couples/travelling parties that frequently face disagreement over whose turn it is to be designated driver, there’s really only one sensible solution: bed down right there at the pub. Dozing off at the bar might be considered a little unseemly, so The Old Bush’s owners Matt and Karen have come up with a better solution and set up pitches in the garden area behind their rural Worcestershire pub. Thus guests can partake of dinners accompanied by a few local ales/ciders before strolling home (to a peaceful corner with drinking water, showers and 24-hour toilets) in just a couple of minutes – how civilised. In fact, the whole setup here is rather civilised: The Old Bush is a traditional country pub in the little village of Callow End, with food available at lunch and dinner times, plus a menu of mini meals for smaller guests. On warmer days the merriment spills out into the garden, where there’s a play area, an aviary and a little flock of chickens along with plenty of tables for open-air drinking, dining and admiring the views over the Malvern hills. Of course, one can’t sit around in the pub all day (well, maybe not every day, anyway…), so it’s worth noting that this is also a handy location for walks, horse riding, games of golf, fishing and days out in Worcester and Malvern (both 15 minutes away by car). Handily, if you do ‘accidentally’ sup one too many at lunchtime there’s a bus stop in the village so you can still get out and about.

Great pitches !! Almost level.
Fantastic views. And a smashing Avery with the most beautiful birds. Nice friendly pub as well. Top Stuff.

Disliked Nothing to dislike really. I guess the washing up bit could do with a bit of love. But at least the water is warm.

Liked Site is behind a very good welcoming busy pub that does super food . Nice level electric pitches although you do drive uphill to get to them , with good views over surrounding countryside. Lovely little cafe on site which sells a range of fresh veg and other necessities .

Liked Great staff, big atmosphere in the pub, food was good and well priced. Campsite was nice and quiet with a little cafe and shop if you want to get breakfast out! Not far off M5 J6.

Disliked Campsite was on a hill so you may need levellers for your camper and not a lot of electric hook ups .

Liked We love this camp and we regular visit for nights in our motorhome, the pitches are at the rear of a great cosy pub with lovley log burner, Great food, friendly staff & great little shop onsite.
Nice big pitches and clean shower and toilet block, nice area ideal for worcester centre.

Liked Absolutely loved our stay here, peaceful, clean facilities, nice level gravel pitch and a great view, it has an on site shop selling local produce and cafe, the pub itself served delicious food, just a 10 minute walk up the road you can enjoy a walk on Old hills which again has stunning views across the Malvern hills

Liked Friendly staff, fantastic food at the pub (recommend the Chicken Madras), facilities clean, lovely showers, unexpected aviary, onsite shop and café. Good bus connections into Worcester (20 mins journey, £3 single).

Disliked Could do with some lighting above the washing up area, especially for post-dinner washing up in the dark winter months.

Work up an appetite for that pub dinner and drinks with walks through grassland, heath and woods in the Malvern Hills Area of Outstanding Beauty (15 minutes’ drive). You can also wander with woolly company from Simply Alpaca (25 minutes), play games of golf (10 minutes) or saddle up for horseback hacks (10 minutes’ walk).
