  • Dog-friendly Oxfordshire farm site in the village of North Moreton
  • Didcot Railway Centre 10 minutes' drive; 25 minutes to Oxford
  • Large field with level pitches; pub and bus stop five minutes' walk
Quiet rural farm site, or somewhere that you can easily walk to the village pub? Roll both things into one location at St. Peter’s Farm Campsite, surrounded by fabulous Oxfordshire countryside and yet a mere five minutes’ walk from the local pub in the village of North Moreton. That location brings lots of benefits – you’ll get the peaceful experience that comes from staying on a spacious and level field that’s part of a farm with horses and wildlife areas, but you’ll also be able to stroll up to the village for a meal, a drink or some time at the playground with the kids. There are plenty of good routes around for longer walks too, and the site is dog-friendly so your furry pal can join you. Looking to explore further afield? A bus service from the village runs to Didcot, or you can drive there in about 10 minutes. Wallingford is similarly about 10 minutes away, and both towns are handy sources of shops and places to eat. Oxford (25 minutes’ drive) is also easy to visit from here, and there are plenty of attractions around from the Didcot Railway Centre and Aston Martin Heritage Trust to the Iron Age hillfort at Wittenham Clumps. Pitches at this site are fairly simple but have access to ladies’ and gents’ toilets and showers, a chemical disposal point and a washing-up area, and you’ll be allowed to light campfires or barbecues. There’s a separate field that can be used by rallies and groups such as Duke of Edinburgh expeditions.

What customers say

Spacious, back-to-basics park with a friendly owner. Large, flat sites, campfires okay. Basic but clean facilities. Some found the walk to facilities a bit far, and a nearby train line was noted. Good spot for local walks and pubs.

Unpowered grass site

Liked Spacious, can have a campfire, quiet and peaceful.

Disliked No wood to buy for campfire. Needs more water taps and toilets - long walk for both.
Also, toilets are very small and only lit over the sinks and urinals. Stalls are very dark. I am 6'3" tall and you needed to sit diagonally to fit your knees in. When I stood up, I banged my head on the ceiling.

Power optional concrete and grass site

Liked Very spacious and quite.

Disliked Just 2 showers for such a huge site. The kitchen block was clean but the floor felt like it was going to collapse at any stage due to water leaking. Sadly the site dosn't give the best impression. You driven through a lot of caravans and mobile homes which are clearly being stored. However many look abandoned.

Unpowered grass site

Liked Camping field was nice and staff were friendly and quite cheap.

Disliked The toilet block and showers are a long walk from the camping field. There are porto loos in the camping field but only 2 which the whole field were using.

You have to go through a caravan storage site to get to the camping field, some I think were lived in. Also a load of caravan stored at the end of the camping field. Didn’t have the best feel.
