What customers say
Stunning riverside spot with a friendly pub & good value. Staff, food & live music a hit. Ladies' loos updated, but blokes' need work. A bit muddy, noisy & busy at peak times.

On the river Trent banks, great walks, good live music on Saturdays
Unpowered grass site
Liked A simple campsite in a pub garden. A lovely setting right on the riverbank of the river Trent.
The pub has a great live music set up outside. The band were good fun.
They had a chef off sick so we couldn’t get any food from the typical pub grub menu which was a real disappointment as there continued to be food served around us.
It is what it is. £12 a night. Very basic facilities that all need updating, but for £12, you really can’t grumble.
The band were ace!
Disliked No food served even though we ordered and paid. We were given a refund straightaway though.

Great site with exceptionaly good value but let down by loos.

Liked A lot to like about this site and it's excellent value for money. Good sized gravel patch.Nice and leafy.
Disliked Ugh! The toilets and showers. Filthy. When the site is so busy they really need cleaning more often. I would prefer to pay more for the site as it's generally worth more far than they are charging and have the facilities cleaned more often.

It was a nice stay, the kids enjoyed it, just needs a few updates.

Liked Nice site, lovely pub and right next to the river Trent, which the kids loved as tried a little fishing. Ladies toilets and showers were nice and clean.
Disliked The pub only serves food Thursday - Sunday, and on non food days opens at 3pm. Would have been nice to have a few snack options, even if just pre packed sandwiches/ sausage rolls or something to take away.
Though I didn’t see the gents toilets and showers, my sons said they weren’t nice and downright refused to shower in there. The children loved the play areas, though they are in need of serious update, the handle to the steps on the tree house/ slide is fastened on with tie wraps!
