Broadstone Park: Ancient oak trees

General

  • Small fishing and farm site on the England/Wales border
  • In a peaceful scenic setting among old oak trees and Neolithic stones
  • Close to Go Ape and the Forest of Dean

Settle in for an afternoon's fishing and look out for wildlife like deer, rabbits and birds, all in a lovely Welsh/English border locale among old oak trees and Neolithic stones… welcome to Broadstone Park.

This is a small and family-run site between the market towns of Monmouth and Coleford, named after those Neolithic stones and in an area with plenty of options for walking, cycling and other outdoorsy activities. A small spring-fed fly fishery is on site for guests' use, stocked with carp, rudd, perch and bream and open daily from dawn to dusk.

Facilities at Broadstone Park include a newly added toilet and shower block and a small camp shop selling local produce groceries such as free-range eggs, burgers and sausages: all sorts of fab things to sizzle up on a campfire…

Please note

Facilities/activities including fishing are subject to extra charges payable on arrival.

Bookings must not be for more than 14 consecutive nights.

Everything, a amazing site set in an excellent location. Really friendly staff, all very helpful!

Great bar with plenty choice, fresh cooked pizzas!

BBQ and fires allowed, sat under the stars with a log fire listening to the owls - can’t beat that!!!

There are also a number of animals on site, so great for kids; as well as play parks, fishing lakes and more…

    Will definitely be back!

Space! Lots of it - plenty of room for the dog to run around. We were greeted by very friendly owner and the cafe had lots of supplies on offer. Also, the owner kindly lent us 2 chairs as ours had been omitted in packing! Fortunately the site wasn't busy and we had a choice of where to pitch out tents. And we were entertained bu visiting turkeys! Clean toilets - always a blessing and these were always clean. We missed the pizza days which was a shame. Very good location for lots to see in the area - castles, Tintern Abbey, Forest of Dean ; all close by. A lovely place to camp up.

Lovely picturesque views, ideally situated. Beautifully kept site, adequate toilets and showers which were cleaned regularly. Having a little shop on site to get hot and cold drinks and a bite to eat was a definite plus. I will definitely stay again and have recommended to my friends.

This was a beautiful campsite, with lots of lovely old oak trees acting as natural dividers and privacy screens across the fields.

Lovely site with pizza cafe, basic 'pub' amenities, small play area, clean toilets, lots of exciting bits for kids to explore and a lovely lake. Everyone friendly and approachable, full of local tips and wildlife facts.

Watch out for the turkeys though - they came by and ate our sausages cooling in the pan!
