Travel up Moor Road out of the village about 400 meters until you reach a lane on the left with signs for Dale Farm. Continue along this lane about 100 meters until you find the campsite entrance on the right.
NOTE: If following a sat nav with our postcode DE45 1UA you will need to drive a little further up Moor Road from the "finish point" to find the lane on the left leading to our farm.
Pretty much all whims are whetted in the Peak District, whether you're into outdoor photography, climbing, caving, mountain biking, hiking, rambling, sightseeing or shopping for Peak District produce and souvenirs.
Monsal Head of Monsale Dale is on the Monsale Trail and less than a mile away from Dale Farm Rural Campsite. It's one of the top spots in the region for stopping and taking pics of the River Wye, its dale and the utterly gorge Headstone Viaduct, so prepare to spend some time gazing around.
A few miles from base, the sweet town of Bakewell is another highly popular Peak District stop and is the only market town in the national park.
Also a few miles away, Chatsworth House is yet another much-visited Peak highlight and has been voted several times as Britain's fave country house. Austen fan? This is the house Elizabeth visited in Pride and Prejudice and it was used as Pemberley in the BBC's 2005 adaptation. Yes, that one, with Colin Firth, in the lake…
