Electric optional grass pitch
Liked Ideal location on the solway coast, between Maryport and Silloth. Only a short walk to the beach, coastal path and dune areas.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. We really liked their easy-going style.
Each pitch has very close access to water and ehu.
Playpark just across the road was ideal also.
We liked that it was linked to a community pub and the small size of the site.
Disliked Pitch's could do with some work leveling of divets, or demarcation if they are for tourers only. Toilet/shower may become more of an issue in high season.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked Stunning location, helpful and friendly staff. Despite being out of season the farmer took time to help our little ones feed the animals and provided a breakfast pack. Would of loved to climb the fell but there was too much to do as it was. Recommend the waffle cone in town. Back to basics camping.

Non-electric grass tent pitch
Liked Price, value for money and location are excellent, and the potential of on sight facilities is there. Ani-mel haven, maze, park and restaurant look like they are progressing with renovation well and will be great when they are finished.
Disliked Solfest was on at the time and so our experience may have been marred by this outside event, we got very little sleep; obviously outside sites control. Unfortunately, we booked during renovation and/or upheaval due to covid changes, so the play park and haven were closed. It was also difficult to discern if this was a eco/wild/pop-up camping site or that the site needed more tlc because of upgrades ongoing. We took our own toilet so can not attest to the cleanliness of the portaloo at the edge of the camping field, but thought this would be useful as the facilities block were a little further away and next to permanent accomodation. The main facilities looked clean but a little dated. Could not find washing up station and potable water in the camping field would be beneficial.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Good pitch and clean toilet facilities. We went on the farm safari and really enjoyed it. Park was good. Staff were friendly and helpful. Stunning views and loads to do nearby. Very good covid measures
Disliked No use of shower facilities, not sure if this is covid related or not. If needs be shower facilities by the locks on the canal.
