Fully-serviced grass and gravel touring pitch
Liked Small touring site with 6 fully serviced pitches, On site pub and Games room.
I was slightly nervous driving down to the site on narrowing roads but all good from the A61.
Plenty of walking available from the site gate.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch (medium)
Liked Easy to find with great views over the loch.
Showers free to use which is always welcome.
Easy walk to Corpatch village for the shop and continue on to the start of the Great Glen walk where there's a series of locks and Banavie swing bridge.
Disliked We were placed on pitch 1 which was as far away from the toilet/shower block as you could be. Only there 2 nights so never went to see the staff but would of been nice to be closer to the facilities

Electric hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Easy to find, nice large level Pitch with a warm welcome from owner and staff.
Chickens / peacocks roaming free on site.
Head back out the site and turn left and you will come across Strensall common good traffic free dog walking country !
Close to York and everything that offers
Disliked As its a new site we were on pitch 10 and had people walking across our pitch from the grass pitches to the toilet block /bar, In a few years when the plants and shrubs grow this will stop it hopefully.
Site owner said they had a problem with Wi-Fi so it wasn't working.
Wife mentioned to me there was no soap in ladies toilet during our stay just hand sanitizer ( I can confirm there was in the Gents).

Silver electric gravel touring pitch
Liked Easy to find and well signposted on the road in. Reception was manned (Womaned) and good advice on the most suitable pitch for our unit and awning. Toilets were very clean and tidy as was the rest of the site. We came with a dog who had a large field to run about in off lead.
We walked to the Blue Cap which took 15/20 minutes for a dog friendly meal which was excellent and got discount for showing the gate fob.
Disliked On site pub only opened on our last night. Tv reception was poor using the on site Aerial (generally bbc1 or 2

From the manager: Thank you for your feedback and comments, they help us maintain and improve our site. Unfortunately our on site pub, Sandiway Ales, does close during the week (Monday - Thursday) at 5pm. Friday and Saturdays it stays open until 9pm. As we are surrounded by woods, the TV reception can be poor, but we do have TV aerial points on all bollards on the main site to help improve the signal with an aerial lead. We are glad you enjoyed your stay and hope to see you again soon :)
