Electric optional grass campervan, tent or trailer tent pitch
Liked The pitches were very nice. The toilet and shower facilities were very good and clean. The site was well maintained and had nice views over the valley.
Disliked The hot taps at the dish washing points were rubbish and tepid at best.

Croyde, Devon, England
Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch (no pets)
Liked The location is great, a five minute walk to the beach and fifteen minute walk into the centre of Croyde. The staff were friendly. The food in the bar restaurant was pretty decent and not bad value for money.
Disliked The facilities are dated and not as clean as I would like. There was a lot of rubbish blowing around the site and no one came to litter pick in the week I was there (I would often do it myself). There was no information about what was on each evening in the Showbar, as the QR code wasn't working. They could have put a note on the door saying what was on. There were a few big pot holes in the track leading to the touring site, which were a potential trip hazard in the dark.

Electric optional grass and earth pitch
Liked Nice friendly site, which was clean and tidy. Nice indoor/outdoor swimming pool, petanque courts and table tennis court. Didn't visit the bar, but from what I could see it looked ok. Close to the small town of Licques and not too far to the nearest supermarket.
Disliked There was no handwashing facilities in the toilets.

Electric optional grass motorhome pitch
Liked The facilities were functional and clean.
Disliked When I arrived, a member of staff told me they only took cash. As I didn't have enough on me, it was an 8km round trip to the nearest atm. The same chap also said park wherever you like except the front row by the river as these are extra.
I found a suitable spot and was just setting up when a very rude man started shouting at me and telling me to move. I told him that his college had said I could park anywhere as it wasn't too busy. The rude man continued to shout at me and I was tempted to tell him to shove the site where the sun doesn't shine and I would go elsewhere.
I had paid a deposit and having driven most of the day it was also getting late, so I moved to another part of the site to calm down and consider my next move. I was then approached by a very nice lady by the name of Annette. I explained what had happened via Google Translate and she was very apologetic about her colleague, I agreed to stay and paid up.
The showers are 50 Cents for two minutes, now I don't mess around in the shower, but even I can't shower in two minutes. The reality is that a shower is going to cost a Euro.
There is nothing to do on site, but this didn't particularly bother me as I was only using it as a stopover.
The lessons that the site should learn from this review are; if you only take cash in this cashless society then at least let us know when we book or allow us to pay the balance when we book.

Electric grass pitch
Liked Nice friendly clean site with pool and bar offering reasonably priced food. We only stayed one night so didn't get a chance to check out any other facilities or the locality.
Disliked My only criticism is their card payment machine seems very selective about which bank cards it takes. I ended up paying cash

From the manager: Thank you very much Mark. Its right that our pin terminal not accept foreign cards unfortunately. Hope to see you again.

Electric grass and gravel touring pitch (water view)
Liked The overall cleanliness of the site, especially the shower block. The staff were friendly and helpful. You can use the local swimming pool, which is a 5-10 minute walk for free with vouchers from the site office, but you have to ask for these. There is an artificial beach by the side of the lake just past the swimming pool, which was nice. Great base for exploring central and northern Holland.
Disliked The touring site had the feel of a car park, as it was basically two rows of hardstanding pitches on either side of a road and lacked the feel of a campsite. Very noisy at times with children being told off by parents a lot. The lake doesn't have any decent access from the campsite and is only about 0.5m deep unless you go a long way into it so we would recommend the swimming pool, which is a 5-10 minute walk. There is no shop, bar or restaurant on site and limited entertainment.

Dereham, Norfolk, England
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked The friendly atmosphere, the spaciousness of the site, the heated toilet / shower block. The location is great for exploring most of Norfolk. Great value for money.
Disliked The shower heads need descaling or replacing as they spray water everywhere. The recycling facilities could be better as I could not find anywhere to recycle glass. People seemed confused as to what bins to use for what. Please note these are only minor issues and the positives massively outweigh these.

Newquay, Cornwall, England
Electric grass pitch
Liked Quiet clean site near to Newquay mostly made up of statics, mobile homes and glamping pods with a small section for touring tents and motorhomes. Staff were friendly and helpful. Short walk to boating lake, crazy golf and zoo.
Disliked Mentioned to staff that they should have a something for users to clean the shower floor area after use, like a lot of sites have and they are going to look into this. Nothing else to dislike other than the steep hill to climb to get into Newquay, but obviously this is not the fault of the campsite.
