Electric grass pitch
Liked Quiet, secure site, wonderful location close to the beach and the New Forest. Very near to a large supermarket.
Wonderful if bringing dogs, large wood that you could walk them in.
Well equipped shop, lots of extra touches.
Fast food outlets visited the site for those who don't want to cook.
Able to hire fire buckets which enhanced the outdoors experience.
Staff were amazingly friendly.
Disliked Our pitch became completely water logged, there had been a lot of rain, but other pitches had much better drainage than ours and had no issue with flooding! It would have been good to be advised of this when we choose our pitch.
A few more washing up facilities would be good.
When we were there one couple completely ignored the dogs on lead rule, their dog ran up to everyone who passed, often barking loudly and aggressively. I believe that the staff were aware of this, but did nothing.
Slip proof mats in the showers were very slimy!

From the manager: Thank you for the 8/10 review. We are glad you liked the site so much. We are sorry your pitch was water logged. We did have a large amount of rain in a very short period of time. Unfortunately we do not know how individual pitches will act in rain as they are all the same, level, on sand with grass so should all drain the same. Sorry we could not have known in advance. We do have 3 washing up sinks and that is normally plenty but in the hight of the season in mid August maybe this is not enough. We will look into this for next season. With regard to the dogs behaviour. We do warden the site regularly and we hand every customer dog rules of behaviour. When customers inform us of a badly behaved dog we will deal with it. Everyone has the warden number for such instances. Can we ask, next time you visit, if you see this again, please call us so we can deal with it. The non slip shower mats are hygiene mats and they get washed down every day as part of our excessively shower block cleaning regime. In August however the showers are used constantly and shower gel, shampoo and conditioner does get onto the mats and can cause a mess but be assured they are cleaned with antibacterial cleaner each day to ensure they are hygienic. Many thanks again for your points raised.
