  • Touring park with river and mountain views
  • Fish for salmon and trout on a private stretch of the river
  • Shop on site; restaurants, pubs and shops within walking distance
Might you want a stay in a riverbank location in pretty Perthshire, with striking mountain views and a scenic section of bank from which to cast off for salmon and trout? Go on, you’ve earned it. Find this – and a fair bit more – at Braidhaugh Holiday Park on the banks of the River Earn, 10 minutes’ walk from Perthshire’s market town of Crieff and listed as a spectacular scenery site for its mountain and river views. You can pick up a permit at reception to fish on Braidhaugh’s own part of the Earn, or use the park as a base for touring Perthshire and other top Scottish sites. Gentle canters on horseback or foot are nearby too: walks of all levels are all around the Crieff area and horse riding is available at Braidhaugh’s sister site in the area, Loch Tay Highland Lodges. Facilities on site include a heated and clean amenities block with free power showers, toilets, a wash area, shaver points and hairdryers. Facilities for disabled guests are in the main shower block. Clothes can be washed, dried and pristinely pressed in the launderette (get the other half to do it, you’re on holiday). Top up essentials and toiletries at the onsite shop, or head into Crieff for more substantial supplies, restaurants, pubs and hotels.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked Easy check in, map supplied with site facilities and pitch. Very friendly staff and also gave a leaflet with information on shops/pubs etc. TV lead at pitch which gave us some TV channels. Bar on site serving alcoholic drinks and hot beverages. About 10-15 minutes walk to Crieff town centre

Disliked Shower cubicles were very small with no seat available. Showers were very hot. No hairdryer in ladies and no socket to use your own. Bar was only open during the day and no food options only drinks. Wi-fi was extra that you had to pay for - not sure price as we never bothered

From the manager: Hello Audrey,
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such a detailed review. We’re delighted to hear that you enjoyed the easy check-in, helpful site information, our friendly team, and the convenient location close to Crieff town centre.
We also appreciate your feedback regarding the shower facilities. We always encourage guests to let our team know during their stay if there are any issues, as we may be able to assist at the time.
Regarding Wi-Fi, touring pitches are in an area where we do not have receivers, so coverage is unfortunately not available there. We do not charge for this, and we apologise if this caused any confusion.
Thank you once again for your valuable feedback and hope to welcome you back in the future.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch (hot tub)

Liked Firstly We went mid January ‘26, it was cold and damp outside. Snow the previous week. Our expectations were minimal. We were really very very surprised and relieved to be wrong.

The camp site was easily within walking distance of the town.
The camper van pitches were spacious and well lit.
The hot tub was glorious. No kids
The cafe/bar/shop is well stocked for such a premises.
The showers are real showers with real adjustable knobs and temperature. Lots of room in the stall and most importantly, not concussive/timer valve in the shower. #pet-hate.
Toilets were clean and well stocked.
Site was busy but quiet at the same time.
River earn next to site was very peaceful

Disliked In our case. Caravan next door let their dog roam. With all the pitches around us being wood fired hot tubs the dog was at risk of being hurt.

Paid for WiFi.

£10 for a bag of logs for the fire. We went through 3 for one two hour tub session

From the manager: Hello Alan,
Thank you very much for taking the time to leave such a detailed and thoughtful review. We’re pleased to hear that your expectations were exceeded, especially given the time of year, and that you enjoyed the location, facilities, hot tub experience, and the peaceful surroundings by the River Earn. It’s great to know the showers, cleanliness, and overall atmosphere made a positive impression.
We’re grateful that you raised your concerns about the dog. You are absolutely right to flag this, and we completely understand why the situation caused distress, especially with wood-fired hot tubs nearby. For clarity, our site policy is that all dogs must be kept on a lead at all times, and this is clearly stated in our terms and re-iterated to guests on arrival. Unfortunately, on rare occasions, some owners do not adhere to this rule. We do take this very seriously, as it is a safety issue for the dog, other guests, and the site itself. Your feedback helps reinforce how important it is for us to continue monitoring and reminding guests of this policy, and to intervene promptly if it is not being followed.
Regarding the logs, we appreciate the comment. Wood-fired hot tubs do use a significant amount of fuel, particularly in colder weather.
Thank you again for your balanced and constructive feedback. We’re very glad you enjoyed your stay overall and hope to welcome you back again in the future.

Liked Very good! Great price friendly staff

Disliked Not been allowed to listen to music outside van. Even if it's very quiet and before 7pm

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hello Allison,
Thank you for your kind words about our price and staff — we really appreciate it.
Regarding the music, we understand this can be disappointing. However, maintaining a quiet and peaceful environment is part of our site policy. We promise all guests a calm atmosphere, and for that reason we don’t allow music outside vans, even at low volume or before 7pm.
Thank you for your understanding, and we hope to welcome you again.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked Nice site not to far from Crieff centre. Facilities fine and staff helpful.

Disliked Very poor Wi-Fi most times non existent even with hot spot from phone.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: Hello Ewan,
Thank you for your feedback. We’re glad you enjoyed our facilities and found our staff helpful. We’re sorry about the Wi-Fi issues — our site is located in a dip, which makes it difficult to get a strong signal, and unfortunately, we don’t have anywhere suitable to place additional receivers. We really appreciate your understanding and hope this won’t stop you from visiting us again.

Will definitely return if it's possible to book another pitch.

Fully-serviced gravel touring pitch

Liked Easy to book through pitch up. Great friendly staff, gave us lots of info about Crieffs restaurants and bars. Great on site coffee bar. Spotless facilities. Site is really quiet and relaxing.

Disliked Pitches are small, we struggled to get car in beside caravan. Pitch 2 has a view of brick wall as it faces the toilets.

From the manager: Hello Anonymous,
Thank you for taking the time to leave us a review.
We are pleased you enjoyed your stay here on the park, it is a great location and feels as if it is in the countryside even though it is just a 15 minute walk to the town centre, and we look forward to welcoming you in the future.

Local attractions

Ah, Perthshire…you could spend weeks here and still have to go back for more. More fishing, great golfing, red squirrels, country parks and historical highlights including Scotland’s oldest library and Iron Age hill forts – all here, along with the essentials of whisky trailing and big city shopping. Nearby Crieff was a wild-west style cattle rustling town in times of yore; it’s tamer these days but thrillseekers can check out the Crieff Hydro Outdoor Activity Centre to whirl around an aerial adventure course on tightropes, ziplines and cargo nets, or get sporty at some of the dozens of indoor and outdoor pursuits here including golf, riding, swimming and football. The centre has a reputation for being particularly sprog-friendly, as does the popular MacRosty Park: there’s a good-sized children’s playground here for all ages, beside a café for tired parents. From MacRosty, set off along the River Earn to see the trees on Lady Mary’s Walk, one of Perthshire’s most popular strolls for its wealth of wildlife and autumnal blaze. Another top tree-based walk – Perthshire is known as Big Tree Country, after all – is around the oldest managed forest in Scotland, Craigvinean, or the Atholl Estate and its wild tree garden, with possibly the biggest Douglas fir you’ll ever see.
