What customers say
A grand spot, well kept with loads of space. Staff are sound, the place is a beauty, and the facilities are grand, shop and all. People loved the quiet, the flat pitches, and the walks. Great for families too, with a play bit and goats a hit. A few mentioned the loos could do with a spruce up, and the road in and showers could be better.

We will definitely be returning.
Electric grass pitch (large)
Liked The facilities are perfect. Wash facilities were clean and well kept. The play park is great for kids, lots to keep them entertained elsewhere also with plenty of space for bike riding and playing sports, but also Goats to visit and lakes to walk around.

As always, an enjoyable stay.
Non-electric grass pitch (medium)
Liked Blackland Lakes Camping is well laid out site with plenty of space. The facilities are good and reasonably clean (some people just don't know how to use a toilet). Sam's bar is an onsite bar with pizza oven and good value. We enjoyed our stay (third time).
Disliked No freezer to recharge the freezer blocks. I wouldn't mind paying a little fee.

It was a really lovely weekend.…
Electric grass pitch (medium)
Liked It was a really lovely weekend. Very safe, lots of happy children all playing with eachother and making friends mine were a bit little to be left to mingle, but watching made me feel like I was in an American summer camp with children making forever memories. Staff were working tirelessly especially on the hottest day of the year, very clean and safe. No riff raff, we will definitely be back.
Disliked Not an issue but would be lovely if there was somewhere that had fridges you could use, these have been SO handy once staying at other places.

Check in was also really easy and clear instructions on how to get to tent, with a great pitch.

Excellent site, but make sure you get the pitch you booked
Electric grass pitch (large)
Liked Fabulous site, very clean, beautiful surroundings and Sam’s bar was a real treat. We picked the hottest weekend of the year to go so spent a lot of time sitting by the lakes under the trees. Very relaxing.
Disliked We booked a Electric grass pitch but 90% of our pitch was gravel and although we did have hard rock pegs, we managed to damage our awning zip on this trip when the zip got stuck because we weren’t able to peg ithe awning out properly due to unexpectedly being on a hardstanding.
In fairness to the campsite they did offer an alternate grass pitch but we had already unpacked the caravan and plugged the electric in and given that gravel was likely to be flat we chose to stay there however we just could not peg our pegs into the hard ground which meant we couldn’t position pegs where they needed to be for our door to open properly and as a result it got stuck and the zip is now broken.
