Ilfracombe Holiday Park

The staff were all very friendly.
We stayed in just the basic lodge which was more than adequate for our needs, staying just the one night.
It was great having the kitchen, fitted with microwave, fridge and freezer, kettle, cooker and dishwasher etc. and utensils, we were able to cook a hearty breakfast that night.
It's great accommodation for a family on a budget.
On site acilities were great too, loved the pool which was toasty warm and the sauna was a nice bonus. Even in off peak there was family entertainment during the day and night for all ages.
Loved the fact it was dog friendly too.

Our guide in our room was well out of date had no details of wifi, current entertainment and dining options.
The tiles around the pool when wet are extremely slippery.
No mention of a £75 holding fee for damages prior to arriving at the park.
They need to big up their offerings regarding both in apartment facilities and on park facilities. Your website doesn't do it justice.

No ramp at the front door for wheelchair access

The bed was very comfortable

From arriving at the reception desk, we were given key to room and told "follow those others to find it" we could not fine it at first as there were numbers missing from some of the doors, plus the stairway to the room we thought might be ours was barracaded at the top. Another visit to reception where the young guy came with us to fi nd the room, which was indeed at the top of the barricaded stairs! When we eventually got I the room, it was surprisingly bare, no dressing table or mirror, no hairdryer, the bathroom door was broken. The kitchen area was OK. The TV was fine, although it kept losing the pictures, the sofa was badly stained so wasn't used. The wi dows were in need of a good clean, inside and out.

Easy and quick check-in and out. Clean and comfortable apartment. Fairly priced restaurant (the portions were huge). Nice and polite staff members. Very good wifi connection throughout the site.

The sink in the bath has been damaged before our arrival and whoever "fixed" it didn't do a great job.

Good food, swimming pool, tennis courts

Apartment different than on the picture when booking, pictures showed superior apartment, the regular apartment was offered, clogged shower (reported on first day, nothing had been done, I bought unblocker in Tesco and cleaned by myself), bathroom lock didn't work, (reported on first day, nothing had been done)

Most of staff friendly and made children have fun.

The general upkeep of maintenance of buildings. The main banister leading upto our chalet was wobbly. Paint flaking off everywhere. Looked tired.

Kids loved the soft play area

Paid extra to take my dog then had to argue with the bloke checking me in as he didn’t believe me. Instead of trying to work out what had gone wrong he just kept telling me I need to pay £25.
