What customers say
Lovely quiet site, helpful staff & farm animals. Spacious pitches, good showers & near beach/walks. Some find toilets/entrance untidy, but management are working on it.

A hidden gem and absolute bargain
Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Booked 3 nights camping with my teenage daughter and enjoyed ourselves so much we added on an extra night to our trip. We are seasoned campers and would have to say this has been our best trip yet. The camping field was exactly what we wanted - spacious, peaceful and nobody "on top" of you- it felt like we were wild camping! (we stayed May half term so can imagine it gets busier in summer). The animals were a huge bonus and we had a lovely meal in the on site bar on our last night. Showers were hot and toilet block was well maintained and cleaned each day. Obviously mud/ grass gets everywhere in the facilities but as long as campers are conscientious and clean up after themselves as best they can it's fine...it's camping after all so not sure what other reviewers expect..! It is walkable to the beach so if you wanted to leave the car on the pitch you can, we also explored the Lizard with everywhere within a short drive.

Liked This was a lovely little spot. We enjoyed it so much, we asked if we could stay another night. We had two days here, shower facilities and washing up were perfect for what we needed. Would recommend as nearby there was a lovely walk to the beach and lots to do in the nearby area.

Non-electric grass pitch
Liked Quiet, rural, off grid camping with minimal fuss and dog friendly what more could you want. Beautiful area too with easy walk down to the beach which is mostly off road if you use the coast path, also dog friendly beach past the main one. Lovely cafe and pub on the way down too plus more cafes serving alcohol down by the beach.

The owners are really helpful. Well maintained site.
Easy to get to coastal path, really well located.
Showers are really good.
On site bar is great, there is also a pub a short walk away (5 mins) and there is a Thai takeaway van which is really good!

Scary and unsafe campsite

Liked Absolutely nothing
Disliked We had booked to stay here camping for the whole weekend but on our first night a man who had been heavily drinking at the on-site bar decided to drink drive into the field and reverse towards our camp. We woke up to the sounds of a grinding clutch right outside our tent at midnight. When I asked the man what he was doing and politely asked him to move elsewhere (the field is huge and there were only one or two parties staying in the entire field) he refused to do so and was incredibly threatening. Given that is was 1am and I had no phone signal, I was scared for my safety and the safety of my family and had no choice but to pack up and drive 3 hours to my home in the middle of the night. Before we left the man decided to then spend 10 minutes throwing up next to our tent. Given the campsites policy of not allowing vehicle movement overnight, I am shocked that this situation was ever allowed to happen. I would strongly advise anyone camping with family, especially young children to avoid this campsite at all costs. At this point I am just glad we were not run over by a car.

From the manager: We are so sorry that you had this awful experience on our campsite. We have never had anything like this before and will be putting in further steps to make sure it never happens again.
Great for wild campers wanting to get away from it all.

Liked Everything. This is a back to basics campsite, as stated very clearly on their website. My partner loves wild camping, however I require the basic necessities like a toilet and shower. This campsite was perfect for us. The owner was friendly, and Steve the maintenence guy was sooo helpful. The site was peaceful and just what we required. Well placed for exploring the lizard peninsula with its spectacular views. We would definitely come again. Just to note, it is difficult to get a signal on a phone, especially at the bottom of the field, top is better, but that just meant that it helped us to unplug and relax, so was definitely not an issue for us.
Disliked Nothing.
