General
- Lively holiday park on the Essex coast
- A short stroll from the seafront, pier and amusements of Clacton
- Indoor pool complex, bar, restaurant and evening entertainment
Big it up at this large and lively park in Clacton-on-Sea, where even the water chute into the pool (which you can shoot down in high season) is a squealing 200 feet long...
Highfield Grange Holiday Park sits slap bang in the middle of Clacton’s seaside shenanigans, close to the rides and attractions of the 19th-century pier, the seafront park, the shops, and the paddling and sandcastle-building facilities (the beach is only five minutes’ walk from your pitch).
The spacious on-site bar and restaurant has a menu to satisfy the most ample of appetites, and in the evenings, the Grange Entertainment Centre will keep all ages amused with its stuffed schedule of live acts, cabaret, competitions and dancing.
Highfield Grange Holiday Park has an indoor pool complex as well as the heated outdoor pool where the monster slide splashes down during the summer months.
Guests also have access to a prolific programme of land- and water-based sports, plus kids' clubs with activities to please everyone from tricksy toddlers to picky teens.

Local attractions
Clacton sits on the Tendring peninsula, a half-hour drive from the historic city of Colchester (the oldest recorded town in Britain, don’t you know), which has a castle, a contemporary art gallery and an excellent zoo along with a whole pile of handsome historic houses in its centre. Just outside town, the pretty Beth Chatto Gardens make a popular stop for green-fingered types.
This area of Essex is full of pretty villages and lovely countryside that’s great for walking and cycling: the Painter’s Trail through Dedham Vale, perhaps better known as Constable Country, is one of several cycling routes in the region. Bring binoculars along if you're heading out on the wildlife trail from Walton-on-the-Naze (20 minutes' drive) – seals, sea birds and porpoises can often be spotted as you stroll (along with lizards along the trail and fossils on the beach).
Need to cool off after such endeavours? Swing back to site via the lido in Brightlingsea (20 minutes) or hit the waters of Curve Wake Park (10 minutes) for paddleboarding, wakeboarding and an inflatable obstacle course that's liable to lead to fits of giggles.
