  • Small, peaceful site in the pretty village of Norland
  • A five-minute drive to Sowerby Bridge; 15 minutes to Shibden Hall
  • Breakfast and afternoon tea available to order
Hob Hey Hideaways is a small site in the pretty West Yorkshire village of Norland near Sowerby Bridge, with gorgeous rural views all around and lovely moorland walks nearby. The site has been carefully set up for a restful break in the countryside away from everyday trappings… and within walking distance, there is a kids' playground, a golf course and local pubs. The set-up on site includes access to fresh drinking water and a smart toilet and shower. There’s a cubby kitchen which has a hob, microwave, kettle, toaster, fridge and freezer, as well as an honesty shop. The friendly owner is around on site daily to offer tips and advice; there’s no electric connection here but phone charging is available on request too. Special occasion? Send a note in the special requests box to order a farmhouse breakfast delivery or a splendid afternoon tea (for an extra cost).

The Hideaway Hut 2 bedroom shepherd's hut

Liked The campsite is in a gorgeous location, easily accessible but quiet and peaceful. We stayed in the Hideaway Hut which has everything you need for a comfy stay, super clean and beautifully decorated.

Jo is a wonderful and thoughtful host, she really went out of her way to make sure our stay was special. The afternoon tea was such a bonus, well worth it! Would definitely return. Thanks Jo.

Liked Position of Hut, great views above Sowerby Bridge and valley's. Quite rural spot, with very little road traffic. We'll equipped Hut and site services. Lovely personal touches in the Hut and everything we needed for our 2 night break including a bag of logs for the fire pit.

The Hideaway Hut 2 bedroom shepherd's hut

Liked We stopped here last night (15th feb) for a valentines night away, we met Jo on arrival and she showed us to the shepherds hut, it was so lovely and cosy, there was also a fire pit and wood for us to use but the weather wasn’t great so we stayed indoors.
The hut was spotless with everything we needed and the site was lovely and clean too, we are looking forward to staying here again in the summer. I would definitely recommend this site for a quiet getaway.

The Hideaway Hut 2 bedroom shepherd's hut

Liked Really comfy cosy cabin with lots of thought put into it and the little things that made a big difference.

Jo was friendly and really went out of her way to make sure that we were welcomed and everything was explained to us. Communication and service were great from start to finish

The cabin was warm and welcoming and we really enjoyed our peaceful night there.

On a cold night in November it was warm all night and the heater was only needed for a short time to heat the cabin all night. Considering the elements outside you can tell Jo has put a great deal of effort into making sure it is well insulated and built.
