  • Award-winning park between Scarborough and Pickering
  • Excellently maintained amenities including family bathroom
  • Licensed shop and play area on site
Jasmine Park is an award-winning caravan and camping park midway between Scarborough and Pickering, just a short drive from attractions and sandy beaches. The site has top-notch shower and toilet facilities that are maintained to an excellent standard of cleanliness and guests are invited to use the refuse and recycling points while on site. There's also a a family and disabled bathroom with a private wetroom with toilet, shower, sink and a bath, plus a pot wash and a laundry area. Other facilities include a play area kitted out with swings, slides and spring animals to keep kids going for hours. Guests can also pick up essentials at the licensed shop and get tips for visits in the surrounding area from the tourist information centre, which has all the brochures and leaflets for you to plan and enjoy your holiday. Wifi is available on site at a small hourly, daily or weekly charge as required. Guests may spot pheasants, owls and even the odd fox (don’t worry, the country gents are a lot more shy than their gangsta urban cousins) at this peaceful site on the edge of the North Yorkshire Moors.

What customers say

A lovely, tidy site with helpful staff. The pitches are grand and flat, and the facilities, with a family bathroom included, are spotless. A grand spot for seeing the coast. A few folk mentioned the trek to the loos from the tents, and the push-button showers aren't the best. A bit of noise now and then.

Non-electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Site was well kept and clean.
They have a family shower room with a bathtub which was excellent for us as my 3yr old doesn't like showers.
Small playground on site within the tent fields

Disliked The two tent fields are a bit of a walk from the toilet and pot washing block. Seems a bit backwards to have the caravans all next to this when they are self contained and tents further away as they are more reliant on this facility. We stayed in the back tent field and it was easy a 3/4 mins walk which isn't great first thing in the morning when you're busting.

This isn't the fault of the site and I guess it's the roll of the dice but there were 3 families there together who were so bloody loud way past the 11pm noise curfew, the last night they kept it down a tent 2 pitches down from them decided it was a good idea to sing Mr Brightside on Karaoke!!! As I said not the sites problem but definitely put a dampner on the experience. Some people forget they're not the only ones in the field.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked This is a lovely site! Flat pitches with good ground for pegs, large pitches, child friendly although would benefit from a small pitch designated to ball games. The staff are really lovely and helpful. The facilities are dated but all in working order and dealt with our needs absolutely fine. (I feel some people expect 5* hotel showers when on these sites- IT’s CAMPING!). Lots of other reviews complain about noise. I can safely say the noisiest guests on the site were the pigeons! There is loads of places to visit within a 45 min radius. The shop sells the essentials. The site was clean and tidy and it became obvious how hard the staff work to keep it that way. We had a great time and I am sure we will be returning in the future!

Disliked Nothing comes to mind that I would consider a major issue.

From the manager: Thank you so much for such a lovely and thoughtful review. We’re really pleased you had such a good stay with us, and we especially appreciated your kind words about the care that goes into keeping the park clean and tidy.

We completely understand the suggestion about a separate area for ball games; unfortunately, when the park is at capacity we simply don’t have the spare space to create one. We did have to smile at the pigeons being the noisiest guests though! 😊 We’d love to welcome you back again in the future.

We had a lovely stay with our two grandchildren and would recommend.

Liked The welcoming and helpful staff. The clean amenities and peaceful countryside location.
Also the easy accessibility to different beach town locations and places of interest.

Disliked The style of shower facilities and the very poor WiFi signal.

Electric grass tent or trailer tent pitch

Liked Gorgeous site, gated to get in and out which we love. Our grandson was out playing with all the other children either in the park area or around the park, he loved it. Nice clean showers and toilets. Large tent pitches. Excellent for families or couples. Everyone respected the 11pm quiet time. Will be booking again for summer 27. Have now found our go to camping site.

Disliked Nothing.

From the manager: Thank you so much for such a lovely review. It sounds like your grandson certainly made the most of his holiday with us, and it’s always great to see children making friends and enjoying the freedom of being on the park.

We especially love hearing that we’ve become your go-to campsite and we’ll look forward to welcoming you all back for summer 2027.

Liked Our pitch great good location and tidy although would have preferred one away from kids playground
Very friendly staff and a great welcome on arrival

Disliked Showers with shower curtain created lack of privacy .
Too close to kids playground

From the manager: Thank you for your review. We’re really pleased you enjoyed your pitch and received a warm welcome from us. If you visit again, do let us know that you’d prefer to be further from the play area and we’ll always do our best to accommodate that, subject to availability.

We’re sorry if the shower arrangement wasn’t clear during your stay. Each cubicle has a door as well as a curtain, which are intended to be used together for privacy. We hope to have the opportunity to welcome you back again in the future.

Local attractions

Snainton is a pretty village that offers golfing and horse riding as well as trout and coarse fishing at the nearby Wykeham Lakes. If you’re feeling chipper, you can book in for a one-to-one woodturning lesson from the experts at the on-site Snainton Woodworking Centre. The big destination in the area is Scarborough. With 360 years in the tourism trade (it was the country’s first ever seaside resort) this legendary coastal town has plenty of experience in keeping visitors happy. As well as the obvious attractions of the sandy beaches, Italian gardens and the lovely Peasholm Park, there are trips by boat, open air bus or miniature steam railway, and it’s definitely worth making your way up to the imposing castle on the cliff tops. There’s no need to worry about rain stopping play either, thanks to the classic seaside amusements, Sea Life Marine Sanctuary, art gallery and geological museum. You could even hit the casino... The town also has a packed programme of events, concerts and festivals running throughout the year, including the famous Scarborough Fair music festival, Seafest, which combines a celebration of the sea with international folk music; and the annual end of season cricket festival, which has been pulling crowds since 1876. In the opposite direction is the smaller town of Pickering, which is transported back to the 1940s each autumn as part of its annual wartime weekend, but is worth a visit anytime for a trip on the North York Moors Railway, which steams through the national park from here to Grosmont. Relax and enjoy the ride, try to spot the station used by the Hogwarts Express in the Harry Potter films, or disembark at one of the platforms along the 18-mile journey for some excellent walking in the glorious Yorkshire countryside. Alternatively, visitors can follow the route taken by their Viking forbears to fun-packed York, home to the Jorvik Viking Centre, the soaringly beautiful architecture of York Minster, the gore and thrills of the York Dungeons, and nationally important railway and air museums. Other attractions that can be reached in under 30 minutes include: Dalby Forest, which offers excellent birdwatching, wildlife spotting and walking; Castle Howard, one of the most popular stately homes in the UK, and a venue for concerts and many other events during the summer months; Flamingo Land theme park and zoo; the World War II museum at Eden Camp; and Go Ape!, a tree top adventure playground where visitors can make like Tarzan on the swings, bridges and zipwires.
