Clean site, clean facilities, friendly arrival, excellent pitches.
Electric grass tent pitch
Liked Samara caravan park was very welcoming. The site was very clean and located perfectly for us visiting various beaches.
I read reviews before arrival and a lot are moaning about the toilets and showering block. Though they were outdated they were cleaned numerous times through out the day, they are just standard camping facilities. We had no problems using them and didn’t affect our stay at all.
We spoke to a few yearly residents whilst on site, that were very friendly and informational for sight seeing.
The ground was really hard so make sure if camping to take a peg puller as we didn’t and struggle getting ours out, but that was our fault.
Disliked We only had one issue that concerns one of our dogs. He does bark like most dogs do but loves camping and is usually very calm like our other dog.
The owner came to the tent and told us to “shut the dog up it’s pissing her of” and walked away as I said I was just getting his lead on. It was quite frustrating as if she had stayed I would have explained that the 3 children that were running up and down the campsite had earlier kicked there ball at him, I did ask them not to, then they proceeded to wind him up with it. We did ask nicely if they could move just a little further up (they were just kids playing) but the more he reacted the funnier they found it. We moved our dog inside the tent into his crate, and they started throwing the ball into the tent and running into it were his crate was. We asked the parents if they could ask them to stop and they sat out side their caravan laughing. We tried numerous times to calm him down. Walked round the site the whole time I was with the dog the kids were outside their own caravan an as soon as we came back. They came back. Until the younger one was pushed into the gravel by an older one and nearly smashed into our van. The parent left them crying on the floor an shouted them to come back. I hope this is on cctv for review and this shows some understanding on why he started been reactive to nearly everyone that walked past.
I did try catching the owner on the morning to explain but my daughter said I’d just missed her and we didn’t see her again before we left.
This could have been resolved with a quiet conversation.
I fully understand the frustration of a constant bark so understood were the owner came from especially if she didn’t see anything and only heard the dog. We was trying to ignore them an hoping they would just go away and he did settle nicely once they returned to their parents.

Level pitches and a lovely clean site.
Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Lovely quiet site which is kept very clean and tidy. A couple of minutes walk to the local pub which we didn’t try this time but will definitely be back to stay here. A shop near the pub too. All in all a nice site and a lovely lady running round after everyone.
Disliked The toilets need renovating as there is just 1 ladies, showers are unisex so beware. I was told that the shower block is getting renovated later this year. The washing up area was also a let down with no hot water.

Liked We had a fantastic stay at Samara Holiday Park last weekend. The site was very well kept and spotlessly clean, which made our stay really comfortable from the start. A big shoutout to the site manager, Edward – he was incredibly polite and helpful throughout our stay. He even went out of his way to help us back our caravan onto the pitch, which made things so much easier.
It’s rare to find a site that’s not only well maintained but also has such genuinely friendly staff. We’d definitely go back and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Samara Holiday Park to others.
Disliked Toilet/shower isn’t the best but it is getting an upgraded soon.

Liked Lovely clean & tidy site
Disliked Only 1 ladies toilet with no hot water to wash hands.
Only 1 shower for the whole site
No hot water to wash pots - there is a sign about how to do tap for warm water but didn’t work just ran cold
Tent was told to pitch up right next to us for shelter but was far too close

Liked Felt very welcoming. A nice quiet spot and only a 6/7 minute walk to the local pub. Site close to the beach. Toilets and showers were clean and the whole area was well looked after.

No hot water and disgusting toilets / shower facilities.
Electric gravel and hardstanding touring pitch
Liked Location was decent with a pub a 10 minute walk away.
Disliked No hot water, toilets were absolutely minging - always stunk of cigarettes.
1 ladies toilet being used by the whole site with no hot water in the sink.
3 men’s toilets again which stunk and no hot water in the sinks.
1 shower cubicle which was grim.
No hot water to clean pots and pans and nowhere to clean the baby or any baby facilities at all.
We also had no wifi or no phone signal at all for 4 days.
Nowhere for our dog to run or be let off the lead either.
It was also loud being so close to a main road.
It’s had new owners in recently who were friendly - so I just hope they sort it out for other families and visitors. We wouldn’t return.
