Overdue for a getaway just for the grownups? Make your way to the small adults-only East Yorkshire site Laurel Park, five minutes’ drive from Barmston beach and 15 minutes from Bridlington, popular for its shellfish, fish and chips, lively harbour and beaches. This is one of those sweet spots that’s well away from the noise of the seaside towns, but still near enough to visit them easily. It's in the small village of Lisett, just over 300 metres from the A165 (some road noise should be expected, depending on the direction of the wind). A bus stop is two minutes’ walk away with regular services to Bridlington. From there, it’s easy to reach Driffield and Beverley by bus or rail. There are no street lights in the village, so the stargazing at Laurel Park can often be spectacular. When you have a moment free, stroll over to the village’s Grade II-listed church (home to the oldest dated bell in England, from 1254) or the 1942 RAF station (once an airfield for the Halifax bombers) and squadron memorial to see a little of the local history. For meals out, there are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the local villages and towns, and for groceries there are shops in Beeford and Skipsea (both five minutes’ drive away) or Bridlington. Look out for the ice cream van that visits the site every Sunday evening too. Laurel Park is a small, friendly site run by the ever-helpful Lindsey and Pete. The facilities include a luxury shower block with a chemical toilet and a grey water disposal point, as well as a disabled toilet and shower with ramp access. There are also security features, including electric gates and CCTV cameras.

Liked Wowsers this place is absolutely awesome! Fantastic communication with Lindsey meant we knew exactly where to find it, chose the pitch we wanted and easily got hooked up to the electric.
The campsite is a bargain price, beautifully looked after, we felt very safe and secure there and loved seeing Tilly the chicken running around the place - it was amazing to open our door in the morning, to be greeted by Tilly waiting for us to appear! 😁 (Just realised all the photos I took, are all of the gorgeous Tilly!!)
The facilities were perfect, very clean & the shower was lovely and hot and the washing up area was brilliant too - my partner said these were the best amenities we'd experienced on our whole trip!

We will definitely be back when we're on our travels again next year xx

Liked Found the pitch size great and felt private well spaced out.Toilets were spotless throughout our two night stay.
Lindsey a great host and paid great detail to make sure her guests were happy but at that same time it felt private a perfect balance.

Disliked Only thing and I know this is a new site so can't complain too much
No WiFi.
Think this could improve the site but a small matter considering what a great site this is

Liked Our stay was amazing, the owner Lindsay is so friendly and helpful and does everything to make your stay a 10 out of 10! A superhost!
The facilities were immaculate, spotless showers and the park is very well maintained! Its in a lovely area with a 10 to 15 minute walk to the pub and other local attractions.. a great base to explore the area.
The chickens Tilly and Mabel were also super friendly and love to join you for breakfast 😂...and we found the golden eggs 😉
We will 100% be back... Weldone Lindsay and family you have created a little Gem.. I hope your venture continues to thrive

Liked Good location. Beaches, shops and restaurants nearby but it still felt quiet and peaceful. The toilet and shower block was really clean. The grass was very soft so it was easy to set up the tent. The owner introduced herself and was very friendly and helpful.
