  • Family-run site for adults only, 15 minutes’ drive from Bridlington
  • Barmston beach five minutes’ drive; Hornsea 15 minutes
  • Two minutes’ walk from a bus stop with regular services to Bridlington
Overdue for a getaway just for the grownups? Make your way to the small adults-only East Yorkshire site Laurel Park, just a five-minute drive from Barmston beach and 15 minutes from Bridlington, popular for its shellfish, fish and chips, lively harbour and beaches. This site is away from the noise of the seaside towns but still near enough to visit them with ease. It's in the small village of Lisett, just over 300 metres from the A165. A bus stop is two minutes’ walk away with regular services (the 136) to Bridlington, taking around 25 minutes. From there, it’s easy to reach Nafferton, Driffield and Beverley by bus or rail. There are no street lights in the village, so the stargazing at night at Laurel Park can often be spectacular. When you have a moment free, stroll over to the village’s Grade II-listed church (home to the oldest dated bell in England, from 1254) or the 1942 RAF station (once an airfield for the Halifax bombers) and squadron memorial to see a little of the local history. For meals out, there are plenty of pubs and restaurants in the local villages and towns (including Bridlington), and for groceries, there are shops in Beeford and Skipsea (both five minutes’ drive away) or Bridlington. Back at Laurel Park, the family is keen to make your visit as cosy and relaxing as possible. The facilities include a luxury shower block with a chemical toilet and a grey water disposal point, as well as a disabled toilet and shower with ramp access. There are also security features, including electric gates (with electric keypad access) and mounted CCTV cameras. Look out for the ice cream van that visits every Sunday evening while you’re here too.

Camping pod

Liked I love Laurel Park. I have been camping for over 10 years in the UK and this campsite is by far the best one I have visited.
Particularly to mention is that the owners Lindsey and Pete are super friendly and really helpful, nothing is too much trouble, they even repaired a broken tent pole for me!
The grounds are simply beautiful, creating a really peaceful and beautiful space for your vacation.
All the facilities, including state of the art accessible, are immaculate and everything works well and there's loads of hot water!
Security is of high priority on this site which is really comforting for single campers.
I can't wait to return to Laurel Park it's my little slice of heaven on earth 🌎

Disliked There was nothing I disliked about this site.

Power optional grass and gravel caravan site

Liked What a lovely long weekend away. The campsite was immaculate. The showers and toilets are the best I’ve seen. The showers do not have “push” buttons and have endless hot water. The grounds are amazing and our pitch was massive. Lindsay and Pete were on hand if we needed them and made us most welcome. We had visitors all day with a Robin and a Hen. We will return.

Power optional grass and gravel caravan site

Liked Everything. An immaculate new site with fabulous clean showers and toilets. A lovely owner who was there to help with anything you needed. Large pitches with grass and hard standing. Near the Yorkshire coast which was easily accessed in a few minutes drive. No children or dogs suited us very well.

Disliked There is some road noise but nothing that disturbed us.

Power optional grass and gravel caravan site

Liked Lovely peaceful park, clean and tidy. Toilets and showers excellent condition and a lovely disabled shower/toilet with plenty of room. The owners lynsey and pete very happy to help make your stay pleasant, good local knowledge. Excellent stay and would return again. Plenty to do short distances away and makes an excellent base.

Disliked Nothing at all. Apart from having to leave Tilly the chicken and Ruben the Robin behind when we came home.

Power optional grass tent or trailer tent site

Liked We had a lovely stay from start to finish. The campsite was easy to find, just off the main road, but still felt quiet and peaceful. There is a coded gate, which made the site feel very secure.
The site was well kept and looked brand new. The toilet and shower block were very clean and spacious, which was perfect.
The owner was lovely—so friendly and helpful—and made us feel very welcome. It was amazing value for money considering everything that's included. We will definitely be returning!
