  • Small family-run site among five acres of green Lincs countryside
  • A mile from Sutton on Sea and within walking distance of Huttoft beach
  • Next to a riding centre and 20 minutes' drive from Skegness
Well now, this is a popular little place. 'Fab', 'beautiful' and 'brilliant' are but of a few of the plaudits that have been heaped on small, family-run and friendly South Farm Caravan Park, set deep in the Lincolnshire countryside a mile from colourful Sutton on Sea. Families, couples and solo travellers are all welcome here, and dogs would likely give the farm an approving woof too: many walks are nearby along the countryside lanes and fields, and the walks – and bike rides – of the Lincolnshire Wolds are very close by. The closest beach, Huttoft or Moggs Eye, has miles of dog-friendly sands for the pooch to let loose. If you think the kids would like to canter, riding lessons and a pony club are at the equestrian centre next door to the farm; if they tend more towards a seaside vibe, Skegness is about 20 minutes away. (And if after that you tend towards a gentler vibe, the long wide open sands of peaceful Huttoft beach are within walking distance of the farm.) Facilities at the farm include spotless shower and toilet blocks (these are based away from the pitches and require a walk) and a washing-up area. There's a small tea room open every day during the school holidays only and a games room.

What customers say

A grand, family-run spot with a lovely atmosphere and grand staff. Great value, handy for beaches and towns. The cafe and play areas are a big hit with families. Some say it's a bit old-fashioned, but it's spotless. Perfect for a peaceful break, and grand for dog walks too.

Electric hardstanding touring pitch

Liked What an absolute gem of a find! This little campsite is pure magic. Our fantastic hosts, David & Karla, have created the perfect escape — small, friendly, and full of charm.

The tea room? Packed with tasty snacks and hearty meals that hit the spot. The games room? Dartboard, pool table… basically a kids’ (and big kids’) paradise. There’s even a washroom with everything you need — from dishwashing facilities to a washing machine for those longer stays. Oh, and shelves bursting with DVDs, CDs, and books to borrow.

Toilets? Spotlessly clean and well kept — a little snug, but more than up to the job. The pitches are brilliantly set out with a hard standing and your own grassy patch for chairs and BBQs.

If you’re travelling with kids, this place is a dream. There’s a fab play area, a soft-play wagon, and a whole host of bouncy castles! It’s a proper family-run site where everyone is super friendly — my little boy made so many friends that we ended up staying longer than planned, just to keep the fun going.

And honestly, the moaning about the toilets being “too far”? Nonsense. It’s a one-minute walk — the perfect excuse to stretch your legs after tea and cake!

All in all — an unforgettable stay, amazing people, and we’re counting down the days until we’re back in two weeks!

Disliked Nothing what so ever about the site, the phone signal isn't amazing but that added to the escape from every day life.

Electric grass pitch

Liked The complete relaxed atmosphere here is refreshing, the scenery, the spacing between pitches, the approach to their own business that the owners operate. Husband and wife team with assistance from their teenage kids run this site smoothly. mixed caravans and tents, hook ups and non electric. With views out across Lincolnshire landscapes from most of the site.
The Tea room is bright and clean with a 5* hygiene pass, 9:30 - 7:00 full breakfasts to burger and chips, indoor / outdoor eating or take away. kids have a play area on the adjacent grass or the indoor games room with darts, pool table and other options for younger children is available.
3 minutes into Sutton on sea, 20 minutes into Skegness or 10 minutes into the older style charm of Mablethorpe, a 15 stroll down the path from the site and you’re on the vast flat blue flag beach !
So ,, the toilet block is about a 3 minute walk if you’re staying at the furthest point of the site ( your camping your not at the Rirtz🤷🏼‍♂️) the facilities are well kept, toilets sinks and showers are clean with abundant hot water available (shower is 50p-5 mins)

3 bedroom static caravan

Liked Nothing

Disliked The most disgusting place , we only made one night & did not sleep . We wer e in static caravan 3 . It was filthy and stunk of damp.

Recommend to friends Visit again

From the manager: When you arrived you were so happy with the caravan.
About an hour later you came and asked about bedding because you hadn’t booked any but had brought sleeping bags, you said that there wasn’t an option for you book any bedding, there clearly is an option on pitch up as we have had many other people book bedding but you clearly didn’t look past your nose. I explained to you that there is a charge for bedding hire and your reply was, it’s not cold so I think we will be ok with sleeping bags but I’ll go check with the others and let you know.
You said nothing about the “state” of the caravan then.
The following morning you rudely came into my tea room and threw the keys at me saying you couldn’t sleep in there anymore and that it was filthy. I offered to come in and give it another clean but you point blank refused.

This isn’t a new caravan and our prices reflect on this.

Yes we have mini dehumidifiers in there because it’s a caravan and it’s to help with moisture but these are checked each day and were dry.

If the caravan was as filthy as you say it was, then on that first conversation about the bedding why did you not say anything then? Why stay and sleep there and then have breakfast in a filthy disgusting caravan? If that was me I’d have gone and asked the owner politely if there was anything that could have been done.

I’m not going to start tit for tatting but I just want to point out that the stain on the carpet wasn’t there before your stay.

Sorry that our old girl wasn’t up to your standards but all pictures on pitch up reflect this.

Electric grass pitch

Liked We absolutely loved our stay , the site was so peaceful and just really homely and welcoming . We loved the decent tent pitch size and that there was a lovely looked after park on site , on arrival we were welcomed to join in with the party and bouncy castle on site , the tea room was lovely and clean and the fresh food looked amazing . The shower blocks where very clean and even though 50p charge for shower it gives plenty of time and the showers are in good condition and the water was lovely and warm. The host Dave was very approachable and went out of his way to help us as pretty new campers . We will definately be back to the site it's in a ideal location and we even visited the nearby farmer browns ice-cream. We had an amazing long weekend and I love this site .My little boy made so many new friends and we met some amazing people. Absolutely value for money x

Local attractions

This is a smashing spot for family and beach hols, with both Sutton on Sea and Huttoft beaches close by for colourful beach huts at the first and a peaceful relaxing vibe at the second. Skegness is an easy drive along the coast, and Mablethorpe and Ingoldmells are also easily accessible to the north and south. Among the many other activities near the farm are the ambles and pedals of the Lincolnshire Wolds or taking day trips to Lincolnshire's small market towns like Alford, where there's also a war museum and a theatre. Bargain hunters should also get along to one of Lincolnshire's many car boot sales, at Ingoldmells, Skegness and Mablethorpe on the coast and inland at Louth, Horncastle, Gainsborough and Hornbeach.
