What customers say
Cracking spot, everyone says. Grand for a wander or to the pub. Pitches are sound and plenty of room. Facilities are basic but clean, showers are grand. Owner's a good sort. Only a couple of quibbles about shower heat or a wee bit of muck.

Electric grass pitch
Liked The location was stunning and so peaceful. Everything was as described. Pub is literally a five minute walk along the lane and there’s a regular bus service that stops right outside as well. Longnor is a 15 minute walk with a lovely pub and well stocked village shop.
Disliked The very steep and windy road down to the village. Thankfully I didn’t have to attempt to drive up the same road when I left 😂

A very pleasant alternative vibe in stunning scenery.
Electric hardstanding and grass touring pitch (maximum 7 metres)
Liked The scenery is amazing. Only there for one night, and a very hot day, so not much time to explore.
Enjoyed the green aspect of the site although this made the amount of single use plastic in the recycling from other campers even more shocking.
Not a criticism just an observation. I was the one who had the cold shower. No I did not change the dial, I read the notice! I just turned it on, cold water for 2 minutes, slightly warm for 30 seconds then back to cold.
Disliked Nothing.

From the manager: Hi, I've just been and checked all the showers. All running at the same time and set correctly as per the indicators on the dials and instructions. Constant Hot Water with no issues.
The "cycling" of the temperature is a good indicator that the temperature has been set too high for too long (as in a temperature so hot that it would be unbearable to stand under) and not checked. The only other scenario would be if all showers were turned on, all taps, and all toilets flushed at the same time causing a significant and sustained pressure drop.
There's been no other complaints and we've been exceptionally busy this last few weeks so.... I guess its a mystery 🤔
Kind Regards

Electric grass pitch
Liked It was our first time in Peak District. Campsite was easy to find. Owner Steve was super friendly and accommodating. Campsite very quiet and comfortable, with all the essentials you need for camping (toilets/showers, washing up station, drinking water taps). Location was gorgeous as well. Good routes to Bakewell and Buxton. Wish we could have stayed longer!
