What customers say
A beloved 'wild camping' spot with a chill vibe and grand Peak District views. Campers love the freedom to pick their pitch, the sound owners who sort out fire pits and logs, and the decent wee loos. Great value for walks, but mind the slopes and basic facilities might not be for everyone.

Overall it's value for money & a good experience
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked A wild camp but legal, it's good & I liked it for the cost, can pick your own spot & it's great for first time campers getting to grips with equipment etc without prying eyes watching the rookie mistakes lol
Disliked Bin overflowing, toilets a bit meh! But expected for the price.

It’s as close to wild camping as you can get.
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Very relaxed and friendly site. No frills.
No actual pitches so easy to pitch with friends.
Disliked Nothing to dislike

Absolutely appalling.
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked Nothing. Absolutely nothing.
Disliked Crazy overcrowded; could not find a pitch even though we had paid in advance so we had to leave. Feel ripped off - don’t allow bookings when the place is full. The ‘beautiful’ metal wall alongside the ‘compound’ was the icing on the cake.

Get back to basics and something a bit wild
Non-electric grass tent or motorhome pitch
Liked It is what it says on the tin, a wild campsite.
Actually toilets were better than I thought. Views are nice and plenty of space to pitch.
The owner was absolutely spot on and very laid back. He made you feel very welcome.
I rang before hand to ask about a gazebo and even then he just came across as a really sound bloke.
We will definitely be back to this place 👌🏻
It was very busy with it being Solstice weekend but you still had loads of space and wasnt too close to anyone.
We all had a great time!

Liked Simple and just what we needed for a one night stay in a campervan. In great settings with a great view. An hour walk down to the village or a short drive .
